Jason Brown

Jason posts a vlog where he speaks entirely in Japanese! I understand "Konnichiwa" and "Part One" (at least, I think that's what he said):

So our Japanese speaking friends, if you would be so kind, what is he talking about? And more importantly, how is his Japanese?

A commenter on the YouTube video did this translation.
Hello, everyone! I made a mini-series. Part one, start! Why did I come to love Japan? I'll explain. Actually, before I was born my parents traveled to various places around Japan. They said they had a lot of fun! When my siblings and I were little, our parents would talk to us a lot about Japan. Also, they took us to a lot of Japanese restaurants. So, on our birthdays we would go to eat teppanyaki. It's one of my favorite family events. When I was a child, I wanted to go to Japan SO BAD. When I ws 15, the chance came in the form of an International competition in Karuizawa, Japan. I was so excited!!! I thought my dreams came true. All of a sudden, I was able to go to Japan. To be continued...

I love all the photos of Jason's parents from their travels -- so Jason's love for Japan started early! :)

;) Move over, Adam :ghug:. It now is Jason's turn for blue hair (at least as part of his impromptu Champs Camp makeover):

The same page of Skating magazine has Jason's comments on the Champs Camp carpool karaoke activity, such as, "I hope I get to do it many, many more times."
And Jason's Instagram has the two pages of style shots for the U.S. men.

Very early FYI (although I have no idea whether only G2C campers would have access):

Those fades on the side of Jason's head originally had temporary blue streaks?:shocked::eeking:

Well, I'm getting a little used to it now (without the blues) and at least he's keeping the pony:biggrin:

What the photo (taken from behind) shows are blue streaks in Jason's man-bun (more intricately coiled man-bun than usual, I think?).

Shows also the extent to which his neck is shaved.

No side view, so what else is part of the look is left to our imaginations ...

Thx for the explanation; I misread the article. And my eyes are too aged to tell where the blue was without direction:laugh:

Always good to see that Jason is up for a challenge; but we knew that;)

^^^I am going to Sk Can. Can't wait to see Jason! Thurs. the 26th is a full day of practices. All SPs are Fri. and FS Saturday. Unfortunately the arena doesn't have Wi Fi (darn!), and I don't have a smart phone, so my on-site reports won't be until later. Looking forward to it though. Lots of great skaters in all disciplines.

well, it's 600th page of Jason's festivities!!!:cheer:

thank you all for making this place one of my all-time faves GS places, for the positivity, info about Jason, clips, news, photos, impressions and feeling shared:thank:

Jason truly makes a difference for me by his attitude and it shows here:):ghug:

Yes, Brendan is already en route in his pirate ship! Can't wait to see him. He and Jason are part of a stellar line up -- and not just in men's. Lots of great skaters in all disciplines.

(And Kailani!) ;)

(And Kailani!) ;)

I was just checking to see the line up to see if they gave replacement names. Glad to hear Kailani is there too, and I know Courtney Hicks was assigned.

Oops!,:otopic: sorry folks! My excitement is getting the better of me.

Finished doing an edit of Jason Brown's Hamilton SP at Lombardia with my Protocolled ticker, this time including the judges personal scores. Any feedback would be great! :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X10LqK0MBLI&feature=youtu.be

This is great... I love the detail. Identifying individual elements with accompanying scores helps me understand the scoring process as it relates to each element. I cannot speak for the transparency of the system (i.e., how which judge from which country voted) because it's not of interest to me but would it be wrong of me to say such transparency may cause a firestorm of discussion. I don't know, maybe
I'm wrong. But this works for me so WELL DONE!
Edit... I found myself watching this at least twice, fcousing on the numbers then on the performance itself, not a hardship in Jason's case!
