It's hard to see, but that's supposed to be Jason holding the Olympic flag at the official re-opening of the Manitou Incline outside of Colorado Springs this morning. The hat fits anyway.

I don't get the actual point of the elephant except that it's in a Coldplay video. Anyway, it's cute. It's Jason's sister birthday today and Jason, in Jason style, posted a dance video.

It looks like Jason was part of the Colorado Springs Christmas parade this evening along with some other skaters and Olympians. Alexa Knierim has some pictures on her IG Story that include she and Chris, Max, Mirai and Jason. Max also has some parade stuff on his Story. As does Mirai.

When they called it "Festival of Lights" parade, I got very nervous. Is it Hanukkah already and I need to get my cards out to my Jewish friends?

OK, I've got the cards and stamps out, along with the address book. (Yes, an old fashioned, written on paper in a bound book address book. I'm *that* old school

el henry, never be sorry for those supposed-to-be 'old-fashioned' things! I'm exactly the same and proud of them, they are all about charm and sentiment to the past that keeps us also within the present

That day-after-competition part of the video was kind of hard to watch. You could tell how disappointed he felt.

I’m really impressed by his honesty and maturity in making this video and sharing his disappointment. It would have been so easy to avoid the whole thing, especially given that he ended up making the GPF. Instead he faced it head on - good for him! Here’s hoping that he’s processed and learned from whatever happened, and that he’s able to skate well this week. Because selfish fan that I am, I want to see those two programs clean!
I also appreciated the amount of vulnerability he showed in that video; it was a completely different side than what most of us see. And it puts the rest the whole "He must not care about being competitive cause he smiles" thing. Obviously, he wanted much more than he did at NHK.
