I do remember Kori once saying that Scott had asked her if she’d ever relocate to Nashville and she more or less said, are you located at altitude? I’m at 7000 feet. More or less suggesting that her answer at that time was no. That doesn’t mean she couldn’t have changed her mind, and starting to build a new elite training center at the beginning of the quad makes sense.
That brings us back to Jason though. Presumably a new elite training center with guidance from Brian Orser would be great and would recruit a premier jump coach. So why would he split from Kori now if that’s where she’s going? Unless her role would be different there and she wouldn’t have enough time to devote to him? Or he felt like at 23 he couldn’t go through the same kind of administrative growing pains that were okay for him at 19 (because I think Kori was trying to make 7k an elite training center).

ETA: It was the Miracurls post.
I do feel like this season probably contributed to his decision. I think Kori's been juggling the adminstrative/mangerial/consulting role with her coaching role and it became too much and it came to a head this season.
I think Jason and Kori have a strong enough relationship where they can probably have a frank talk that he needed to move on. Or that she can own up that she needed to let go.
As I said not all coaching changes have to be as drastic as people think. Or rather I'm hoping this one isn't...
ETA: Of course we haven't heard any official LOL. This is all speculative talk by me, LOL.

Well, I'm in favor of any connection between Grant/Caroline and Jason, so it's all good, whatever they are doing there.
I just joined this site! Largely because I tried doing an internet search on if the J and K rumors were true.
I can tell you he was in Fairfax VA (right outside D.C.) right before 4CC ... rumor was he was working with Audrey, who is also a supporter of Kori. Audrey owns/runs ICoach, and has had Kori do many different coaching video clips for her site. Audrey has always favored working well with male skaters.

One theory was to get out of the hoopla of the Olympic craziness. Jason, as far as I know, still lives at the Olympic Training Center, so he would be reminded virtually everyday that he wasn't going to the Olympics. Being in Virginia gave him some space.

I really like this theory, if only because at times I had a hard time watching the Olys, so I can’t imagine how I would feel if I were Jason.
But of course I’m not
Hopefully all is well. I've also heard Kori might be headed to TN to the new Scott H. Rink. There seem to be a lot of ties here between Audrey and Kori, as well as Kori and Scott.
It would be neat to have a newer/bigger coaches on the east side of the US. Skating in TN has grown A LOT in the last few years!!

From Jason's comment, it also sounds to me like he's moving. I have to admit that when I saw Grant's post yesterday I wondered if he had come to Colorado to help Jason move.

Well, the mountains in the look like they could be CO mountains, but the other one looks more like the southwest, or southwest CO, or NM, or AZ, or CA...
Guess we'll find out soon enough. Definitely makes me sad. I wish he would just come out and say what's going on. It also makes Grant pointing out Jason's banner in Monument a little weird now.
Oh, well, good luck, Jason. Looking forward to seeing what's next!
ETA: I'm pretty sure the second pic is Palm Springs, if that means anything.
