Jason Brown

According to this he’s flying to Pennsylvania on Cape Air. Does that mean he was in Boston, and if so, why? Are there any elite coaches there he might be trying out with? Ross’s coaches? I guess they do serve other markets, so he might not be in Boston. Anyone recognize the terrain?

I think it was a picture from earlier this week - not today. Just a hunch. :)

Wow, that makes absolutely no sense logistically if he is in Boston, :scratch2:so I do hope it’s from earlier this week. There are planes from Philadelphia to ABE airport, but not worth time or expense.

I did tweet in return, which I am not a big tweeter, but I want SOI to know why I bought my ticket

Seems that Cape Air does not have scheduled flights to Pennsylvania (from anywhere).

Can't rule out the possibility of a charter flight, I suppose.

In any case, yes, Jason is being cryptic .

He was at IceWorks as of yesterday, so he was already in PA. My guess, like Rosa74, that it was form earlier in the week. I'm guessing maybe he flew from the Portland, ME stop of Stars on Ice (about 1 hour from either of the 2 Cape Air locations) back to Boston and then went from there to Philadelphia.

(Although that doesn't make sense either cause it's 2 hours by car to Boston from Portland.)

Yes, re IceWorks ... and Yes, re the photo not making sense, even if the timeframe were tied to the New England shows.

I usually do not think that Jason has any intention of causing confusion via social media, but in this case, I am not so sure .

Well I guess cryptic Jason is the new normal. Hopefully his next YouTube video will shed some light. And el Henry gets to see him soon! Now el, I’m anticipating a full report, even if no video!

I am falling into the trap of overthinking/overanalyzing something light-hearted (from a professional comedian, no less) ... but ;):

Is it me, or does Arsenio's tweet give the impression that Jason now is "permanently" (so to speak / for the time being, at least) based at the Brown family residence in Illinois? As opposed to at the OTC or elsewhere in Colorado?

Hey @jasonbskates! I’m coming to @zaniesrosemont this weekend, and your Mom said I could stay at the house in your bedroom, cause you are traveling!? ... April 20 & 21 #Chicago

https://twitter.com/ArsenioHall/status/986991374946918400 (Apr 19)

Don't worry, I realize that Arsenio is joking about bed wetting.

But the part about bunking at the Brown home very well could be real? The phrasing of "cause you are traveling" is what is making me scratch my head.
Could it be that Jason already has moved out of his Colorado abode??

For those not interested in wild speculation , the tweet has a nice (presumably not brand-new) photo of Jason with Arsenio. :)

So just my thought on the plane picture: it doesn’t look like the Boston airport to me. I live in Boston and the airport is out on the harbor. It is completely flat everywhere I’ve ever been on any runway or terminal area and in this pic it looks like there are some hills or trees in the background. Maybe it’s a different part of the airport I’ve never seen but it doesn’t look like the Boston airport to me.

Well, and the word is....

Jason was great. The show was very entertaining. Jason was great.:party2:

I will give maybe a fuller report on everyone else in the general fora, but my takeaways:

Jason was second after Karen in the "First Act". I actually could tell the difference between the show Hamilton and the real Hamilton, and yes, the show Hamilton has less choreo. I don't care, I saw "Click Boom" live. I think Jason did two jumps, couldn't tell you what they were, but he landed them, and cleanly, where some skaters (Adam, Mirai) actually fell. The spins, the high kicks, all in force, although I might say he was a teeny bit slower than I expected in this program. But it's a show, so it's not like you need to race up and down the ice.

Jason was first after the ice dance combo number in the Second Act. (Someone was actually standing in the aisle trying to get to their seats blocking my view of Jason:eeking: I muttered, and not under my breath:devil:). That exhibition is just like the video, the "greatest hits" of JB, with the worm, the handstand and the four Russian splits. The crowd loved it. And the falling to the ice with exhaustion at the end. So cute.

And since this is a Jason fan fest, I will say this: the other men had Russian splits in their individual programs. Not the world's best idea. Adam's wasn't bad, but Nathan ....he has other gifts, he shouldn't be doing the splits :scratch3: (Nathan did do quads. Plural. In a show. It is impressive).

Of course, I watched mostly Jason during the group numbers. In the men's group number I could actually tell who he was, unlike the fan cams.;) He is definitely more elegant, more flexible and more demonstrative than .... well, everybody. (Adam was cute, he introduced the guys number, actually gave a shout-out to his home state and said as a result of being home he brought five friends with taupe hats. If it was written for him, he delivered it well). During the intro group number? (starting to run together) Jason did a beautiful layback and illusion spin. The spotlight wasn't on him as a solo, you had to follow it. And during the finale, you could tell he was getting into the DEH music with the outstretched hands and the performance chops.

Cutest of all, though, of the non-skating parts, was Jason coming out to shill for votes for Adam and Mirai on DWTS. Zach was with him on the ice, but just about got two words in. You know Jason, Adam and Mirai are amazing, everyone is amazing and wonderful, wouldn't it be amazing if they were in the finals, and then they threw shirts into the crowd. And Jason said something about Adam's home state of Pennsylvania too. Loving the props:clap:

And Jason's taped "Olympic moment" was the only one that got a laugh from the crowd.:agree:

I even bought an incredibly overpriced SOI long sleeve shirt. Now I will have to buy Jason merch.;)

..... And thanks for doing this so quickly so that I can go to bed. :)

I thought I might have to wait until tomorrow, but spousal unit still had his evening ablutions to complete, so I had time:laugh:

Is that what the kids call TMI:drama:

Oh, and as we have all already figured out, the pony lives. It's smaller and less full. And somehow he gets the manbun in place over intermission. Maybe that's why Hamilton is so early in the show:laugh:

Thank you :thank: for this el henry!!! Felt like I was there! Jason elevates the atmosphere wherever he goes doesn't he? I woud have focused on him during the group numbers too!! And bought that very expensive shirt!! Amazing show... I bet they will all be exhausted when the tour is over.
Now back to bed... :bed:

I'm finally at the point where I can pick out his shirt in that number, but it took a while! :)

Jason's (and Zach, but he doesn't say anything LOL) little speech from Portland, Maine telling the crowd to vote for Mirai and Adam on DWTS before the T-shirt throw!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4kgHEElEyo

Thanks for the clips, shirleyc89. That is exactly how the "shilling for votes" played at Allentown, except we didn't have BFF Sara down from Dartmouth at our show. Or anyone from DWTS.
But Jason still did all the talking;)

One more "what Jason did" observation: at the end, when the cast does the Soul Train line, he did the MG Hammer "spin on your back" move when he was called out. I guess they couldn't fit quite everything into the "Can't Stop the Feeling" program:laugh:

Thanks El. I'm so glad you were able to see Jason "live!" I think he is perfect for a show like this and only wish we still had other shows.
