I suspect the ultimate destination may be Macchu Picchu (total guess). Hope Jason is not prone to altitude sickness

After 4 years in Colorado, he's probably pretty good at altitude. Macchu Picchu would be fantastic! So glad that he's traveling. He needs time and space to know his mind. Glad he's not staying home and training for World's. Great photos! I wonder who he's traveling with? Someone's taking those pictures.

That's great that Emily and Jason are on the road again. And since he said "see you next week" to the Peruvian ice skaters, my guess remains Macchu Picchu.

I guess I, too, must give up my hope of seeing Jason on the Worlds podium this year. Sigh.

My heart goes out to those of us who may have had a chance to see Jason if he was at Worlds, and of course more Jason skating is better than less Jason skating.

That said, this is a cool trip.

It's unfortunate for those who were hoping to see Jason at Worlds, but I like to hope after a lovely recharging trip like this, he'll return home refreshed and re-energised and realise that he wants another season.

I realized that later. Sometimes he captures those pictures in a regular post, but not this time. Peruvian chocolate sounds good! I'm sure he's having some! And it's 80 degrees or close in Lima when he gets back. It's snowing here. Bleh.....

Watching now.

Ears immediately pricked when Anthony asked Jason "Do you have another Olympics in you?" and Jason replied, "I don't know!"

He didn't say no.

He didn't say no.

Then they spoke about the last few years, and Jason talked about wondering if he could really end it "this way", not getting to compete in front of crowds.

I'm not fool enough to hope for four more years, that would be crazy.

But that definitely sounds like another year at least is a serious possibility.

He spoke so eloquently and beautifully about all those horrible backwards bills being passed by those terrible politicians in the States at the moment. <3

And a lovely acknowledgement that the skating world can be so incredibly insular and wrapped up in itself. I did remember thinking Jason got very outspoken around that time, which he hadn't been before. I can understand his desire to want to be genuine about coming out and not be "formulated". I am really enjoying this part of the interview because there's so much feeling behind what he's saying. The part where he talks about stereotypes is the biggest frown I think I've ever seen on his face.

There was a synch problem, but it wasn't very distracting. It's a good interview, very candid. I believe Jason when he says he doesn't know what's next after SOI. Based on past seasons, he'll probably visit his family, possibly travel more if conditions warrant that and he'll make his decision for next year at some point after the tour ends in June. I'm just so glad that I'll get to see him on tour.

I was intrigued by the quad decision. I had seem him attempting it in practice and it wasn't going well, so I assumed that it was a last minute decision. And I thought it was a good decision. His goal was two beautiful performances at the Olympics and a personal best and he achieved that.

It was a good interview and not all about skating.
