Jason Brown

I was surprised about this specific incident (and I am being deliberately vague because of FFs).

That Jason answered "I don't know, what's going on in ladies' skating?" yes, that surprised me, even with China and the bubble . Mariah knew about it. ;)

The same account has this video of Jason talking about his 2A:

He wasn't on the team, so he wasn't involved in the medal controversy. He didn't hear any of the commentary until he came back to the States. I guess the athletes didn't discuss it among themselves much. Possibly they didn't know much either. None of them had access to outside news. Neither did the coaches. Maybe some day he or some of the other skaters will talk about how that impacted them and what they heard. None of them wanted to risk getting thrown out of China for blabbing, I expect.

And the fluff keeps coming: Short piece showing Jason practicing Sinnerman at Glenview, promoting Chicago SOI for local ABC station.

He gets nostalgic every time he goes through O'Hare.

I watched some of the IG Live, and it was so cute to see the skater check-ins on the side, and Jason react 30 seconds later. A lot like Rohene's practice videos, hi so-and-so, how are you doing?

It is hard to believe he hasn't done a live before, he's so good at it. And who knew mints would be popular backstage?

He did seem to enjoy doing it. Having Mirai there as his producer was a big part of the experience. Normally, he's not a huge self promoter, but when asked, he will usually put himself out there. And he was having fun. If he does another one, it will probably be more focused and go more smoothly. But the go with the flow aspect of this one was fun to watch. I got busy and didn't get on when it was live. I watched the replay.

Today's Jason fluff entry:

ten minute interview with Spokane television. Interviewer must like Gracie, asks specifically about her. :) Also Jason says he does want to keep performing, and he's so happy with the reaction to Sinnerman (you're welcome  )

And the interviewer actually knows something about skating! Nice interview. I'm kind of wishing that I could see a performance toward the end of the tour to see how things have changed, improved or whatever, but they don't come back East.

I don't know how to capture stories, but I am hoping the Japanese Fan Club will capture these. In the meantime:

Karen's IG stories show her filming Jason practicing Sinnerman. Not the practice of only Jason that was on Jason's IG, but videos of Karen and Jason.

On Ice Perspectives, watch out!

Sad news, Jason related: Kori has cancer:🥲🥲

The only links I can find includes the GoFundMe, but it has the info. I think B-cell has a fairly good prognosis, ( but I don't know for sure, I'm no doctor) but still 😢

ETA: Probably needless to say, Jason and his mother have made generous donations.

That is shocking. There have been quite a few donations made. But it's very expensive to fight cancer and she may not be able to work regularly right now. That's a big hit. I hope that her treatments go well and that she recovers. I hadn't seen anything from Jason about this. It's super nice of Alexa to publicize this.

Even more fluff, this time Jason promoting SOI with a Boise Idaho TV station, he is on ice, does a Russian split and jumps, and Zach Donohue helps. :)

I am going to be so sad when this SOI ends and no more fluff....

Based on previous years, he'll probably go into hiding for a while before he goes to Japan. He's going to have to face the big "what's next?" At least what's next after the two tours in Japan. But things will change after SOI for sure. I'm trying to prepare myself for it.

Yet *another* Japanese show for Jason:

"Friends on Ice". (I don't think I know this one) in late August

Bing translate of the website says the skaters will be
Shizuka Arakawa, Shoma Uno, Takeshi Honda, Akiko Suzuki, Miki Ando,Jason Brown and others

Jason, you go boy with those Japanese gigs!

His agent has been busy. That one is in late August. It also includes Satoko and Jeremy Abbott. The only non retired skater (besides Jason who hasn't decided?) so far is Shoma and Stephane is skating the show, so he can continue training. But they'll be skating to full houses, which is going to be fun. I'm glad that Jason is getting a good taste of traveling to do shows. It will help him to make his final decision on how next year will look if he's had that experience. It's too bad that the Russia situation is what it is, because they probably would have resuscitated the Sailor Moon show with Zhenya and they could have skated together. Under the circumstances, that isn't likely to happen.

Jason's greeting to his Japanese fans:

Bing translate:

Fantasy on Ice in June, The Ice in July, and Friends on Ice in August! This summer is my favorite summer.
I was given the opportunity to perform a lot in Japan, and my heart is full. It's exciting. I 😍❤️🇯🇵 want to see you guys soon.
