Jason Brown

Thank you elhenry for posting Jason’s Grand Guignol SP from years ago🙏. My favorite program of his back then along with Flow Like Water both of which I watch often. I still marvel at his content in the Water program.. it is jammed packed. The Johnny Weir comments are worth noting too.. wishes he had a triple axel .. so prophetic

Regarding questions: if appropriate just wondering if he and Kori touch base occasionally.. that and what activities might he purse in future.. coaching? Choreography? Lucky students ..

We will be interviewing him soon if anyone has any questions :)

Thank you for letting us know, another great interview to look forward to.

I agree with so many of the suggestions, particularly Kori. I think enough time has passed: how did he tell her he was leaving? How did she take the news? How often if at all is he in touch with her?

Does he still want to teach in Japan? Has he looked into that, or is he too busy with shows? Has he ever thought about coaching in Japan?

Is he contemplating competing at the GP next season?
Will he keep the same programs?
Will he be at the WTT this spring?
:)

Is he still training quads?

Is there any place that he hasn't yet travelled (either for competition or on vacation) that he wants to visit?

How does he keep up with his piano practice whilst competing/performing?

All were answered to the best of his ability and the video is coming soon!

A little bit of not so happy but probably expected news - the Sailor Moon show that Jason signed on for way back in 2020? - and which was scheduled for June this year has been formally cancelled. I can't say I'm surprised, though I am sad that we won't see him in the costume for that character. But he appears to be getting plenty of show time in Japan anyway, more than pretty much any other American skater...

USA's Jason Brown talks about moving forward in this interview leading up to the 2023 World Figure Skating Championships. Listen in while he touches on a myriad of topics in this fun interview: Will he compete at 2023 World Team Trophy? Compete on the Grand Prix next season? Create new programs? Train the quad?

Jason is always a great interview subject - engaged, thoughtful and enthusiastic.

I thought his answer about training quads was interesting. He essentially said he didn't train them this year as he was trying to stay healthy and not have to deal with injuries sustained with repetitive training. He did say he wanted to work them back in if he competes next season (which he seems to be pointing to) but I have to wonder how realistic that is.
