Jason Brown

When I saw the title of the program, I was "Hmmm".

But then I heard the percussion music. Jason and a percussion piece will be a match made in heaven.🥁

IG embedded (thanks @Impromptu) for those who might not have it:

I LOVE how Jason and Rohene continue to push Jason's boundaries and challenge him to do something new and different every year. This is going to be AMAZING!

These custom painted skates for Jason, who was in Columbus with Brian Boitano to promote US Nats, are really cool 😎

Also Jason and Brian gave an interview to a local morning show. The hosts are morning show hosts with morning show host questions, but I like the interplay between Jason and Brian. Brian also gave interesting answers about his own skating experiences:

They don't seem to have a digital subscription to this magazine, the way the International Skating magazine did. It seems to be print only. Hoping someone enlightens us. I would like to read it. One of my friends used to pass on her copy, but I don't think she gets it anymore. The cover shot is great! I'd happily pay for a one issue digital read if it was available.
I got the magazine in the mail and I love the article. If Jason, can keep going like he has, maybe he can try for a third Olympics.

I wouldn't be so daring (but I love the idea!) yet I've read that The Legend of Tarzan didn't feel like a last-year-of-competitive-skating program, and I did agree. So, now I have hopes for 2024-2025. Not expectations of course, because anything can happen, but I enjoy the idea that if it's right, Jason Brown is strongly considering a 2024-2025 season, and Grand Prix or not, it would be a pleasure.

Most U.S. skaters appeared to have arrived in Vegas yesterday for Champs Camp. Jason is in Japan for an ice show that runs through this weekend. What does this mean for him? Is Champs Camp not mandatory?
I am sure that Jason is not required to be at Champs Camp. He's not scheduled for international competitions this year except Japan Open. He's got the bye to Nats and he accepted it. The rest is up to him. I would guess. On the other hand, if he had been available and wanted to be at Champs Camp, I'm sure that they would have been happy to have him and he was probably invited. But he's busy.

And from the article, Rohene Ward has had just about enough of your nonsense:sneaky:

"We no longer apologize for not doing what others think we should do. We are living our truth. It's OK for Jason to be an artist and an athlete, versus an athlete first and then an artist. It's OK for him not to have quadruple jumps. He has been counted out a lot, and over the years we've learned not to care about that, to use that as our fuel."

Here's a new short Q and A that Jason did when FOI (Friends on Ice) was held in Japan.

He talks about when he will skate the new FS, his costumes for this season, and a possibility to do a competition before the US Nats.

According to Corey Circelli's IG stories, Jason is back at TCC🎉

Time to finally practice that free skate, after vacationing in the mountain West. :)
I assumed that he was going from his Wyoming vacay to TCC unless he had more to do with Ro. Time to work! He's got Japan Open in a month and needs to be competition ready. Glad that he's back safely in Toronto. Brian just had a full knee replacement done, but it looks like he's recovering really well. The season has begun!
