Jason Brown

Thank you for signaling where the Jason portion is, @Bookseller.

I confess I have not been a fan of Adam and Ashley's podcast, the ones I listened to had way too much meandering and thinking they were funny and interacting with the producer in an awkward way (I have no problem listening to a producer, but it was too much forced "Ain't We Got Fun" with all three).

But if they are loving on Jason, I will give them clicks :)
I like their podcasts. They've gotten better over time. But this is the longest one they've ever done. All three were at World's working, doing various jobs, so they had different perspectives. They do have fun and they interact with each other well. Adam on his own is not as good as Adam with Ashley and Sara. And Sara is more involved now. She is very knowledgeable and comes from a broadcaster POV. And she knows skating. There is more mention of Jason later in the podcast, but this was the bulk of it. They did discuss the possibility or probability that Ilia might want to skate both portions of the Team challenge, but they clearly felt that Jason earned that opportunity to go for a Team medal. I agree with that. But Ilia does have that choice. But the podcasts keep getting better. When there is plenty of skating content, they are worthwhile.

Here's Jason's post about skating w/Aoi. Instagram is no longer on the approved media list so I can't insert the post. I know el henry can still insert media from Instagram so perhaps that option is now approved only at the administrative level.

That may explain it. I had successfully embedded Instagram before, but I couldn't do it the last time I tried.
That meet up with the little boy was heart tugging and skating with him is inspirational. Jason makes a difference wherever he goes, and that little boy is such a warrior. What an achievement for both of them!

It may not show on the List, but still works. Just copy/paste the link :)

We will be upgrading addons over the summer.

I got specific error messages saying that the video could not be embedded. No explanation why. So I just posted the URL in the thread.

A new perk (for a price of course) for SOI, but I really like this one.

For $25 extra, SOI ticket holders can attend practices and a pre show Q&A. The US preshow Q& A is with Jason (of course) and Amber. I remember fancams of the Q & As with local skating clubs at previous SOIs (Jason and Mariah IIRC) and they were funny, with interesting anecdotes. Of course, that depends on good questions. ;)

Okay couldn’t wake up at 3:00 am to watch live but just snuck a few moments from work to watch Jason. Wow, that was a beautiful skate, and the step sequence was just amazing! So glad to see him skate with such confidence. 😊

Also, may I say that brown really suits him - he often wears cooler tones - black, gray, blue, etc- but this warm brown really flatters his natural coloring.

I finally got on to the stream while Shun was skating and noticed that the leader was Jason. So I did a quick rewind and watched the skate. It was pretty close to perfect. The jumps were clean and there were no ifs or buts. He skated 4th of 12 and stayed in 1st place until the final 2 skaters. Ankle Biter bites again! And he finally got what used to be a normal SP score. Even with WTT generosity, he earned that. I felt that he was kept too low on the PCs. One judge gave him an 8.75 on Skating Skills! I question their sanity or was it bias? Who knows. That program deserved at least 48 if not 49! It was CLEAN! And beautifully executed. Finally, the step sequence on that SP was done perfectly with great speed and clarity. Jason is BACK!

I plan to watch the FS live tomorrow morning. I will set my alarm. So proud of Jason!

Wow, if Jason had skated Tarzan like that previously, I may have felt more kindly towards it. He slayed.

The PCS is ridiculous, but I comfort myself with, Jason slayed. :)

Now Jason, I know Millie is your BFF for life, but kindly disregard any music suggestions for next year. Please.

The judges do not seem to like Tarzan 'cause he used to get higher PCS. I guess he could have been able to gain a point or two more from GOEs here and there but I expected a 95+ at WTT with a clean program. He's personal best being 97+ with the same technical content.
Tarzan is not the judges favorite. I expect that they will up the game for this coming season, since he's solved his boot issues and he'll be training full out. But that skate saved the program for this season. They do seem to like his freeskate. But he will have a new one next year, I'm sure. He needs something with a faster speed step sequence to fully show off his skills. But he did these two programs justice at World's and at WTT.
