But why? Shoma, Boyang, Denis and Maksim are all quite capable of winning at SA too.
These skaters have their Federations( which host the GP competition in their respective home soil) cut the deals with USFSA, and Denis has Frank Caroll as his coach who is powerful enough to secure a spot at SA (it make more sense for Denis to go to SA since he trains in LA).
Well, at least it’s not much of a time difference between Moscow and Paris. TEB and COC would have been much worse, which is probably why I don’t see anybody doing it.
Physically & mentally it would be such a great challenge to do two competitions in a row, in addition, I can hardly see how he could develop his programs in between; skaters rarely do back-to-back GP competition. IIRC, a Chinese lady skater, Liu Yan, competed in two GP events in a row, and she fainted at the end of her free skate in the latter competition:sad21:

, Team Europe also includes Anna Pogorilaya and Evgenia Medvedeva, skaters from North America are Jeremy Abbott. Gracie Gold, Adam Rippon, Ashly Wagner
The money is fairly good - USD 80 000 for the winning team, 60 000 for 2nd etc. in 2015. Certainly more worthwhile than any of the Challenger Series comps.
