It seems Sandra Bezic was somehow involved in making of Prometo, but what was her contribution remains unclear. Unfortunately, the audiences of Stars on Ice have not been videoing and posting clips from it with great enthusiasm, but it is now available fully in several clips. I downloaded and collected them here in right order (about a 50 Mb zip file in dropbox). Hope it works.

The version of the song is this with just piano and voice. They've used the first and last verses with two choruses - the lyrics here in Spanish and English.

I hope the last minute (or even two) gets posted again from the second leg of the tour. Would love to get a better look at it. It looks beautiful even based on the rather poor quality clips...

Edit: The story of the choreo by Bev Smith

PS And a huge thank you for the Chester No Limits translation!!!!

It’s surprising that there hasn’t been a full video of this program which has been generating a lot of buzz. I saw quite a few generic V/M vids from the tour already, even though I was not actively looking for them.

This was an absolutely marvelous read! :luv17: So much covered in there, not just about how the program was born, but about Javi himself, even though the piece isn't directly about him.

Two of my favorite parts:

"He understands the subtlety of an honest movement rather than an affected movement. There's such a fine line between overselling and just being. He really, really, really understands that. All the work that David [Wilson] has done with him has really educated him to all of that. He really understands nuance and works for it, and gets it when he misses it." Bezic sat beside a woman who watched the performance in Toronto. In the darkness, she noticed tears streaming down her cheeks. It was the best compliment.

This is what perfectly defines Javi's skating for me and sets him apart from everyone else as a performer. The honesty of his skating. I'm so glad to read all these wonderful comments from Sandra about Javi! She really gives him high praise throughout this whole article.

It's been a quick trip home to a country that has adopted the gentleman of skating. He's not sure what his future will bring. For a few days, the staff at the Cricket Club were overjoyed to see him back for the first time since the Olympics. They all adore him, Bezic says. "They all came running. They all wanted to talk to him. You could tell how much they adored him. It's the way he treats people."

The gentleman of skating - I love this phrase! It could be used as the title of the chapter about Javi in figure skating's history books.

He just posted instastory of him having lunch with scott Moir and Patrick Chan and other skaters. Where is he right now in japan?

Calgary delivered!! The whole of Prometo in one take, finally!

And as an added bonus, a Japanese game show Honoo-no Taiiku-kai TV (炎の体育会TV) which was made during the Japanese leg of Stars on Ice in April and brodacast yesterday (Alina Zagitova, Kaetlyn Osmond, Wakaba Higuchi and Javi). Javi gets to show his fitness/aerobics skills, spinning and human curling among other things. Puppies at the end, don't miss it. Zagitova is clearly the main feature, but Javi gets his moments.

that was soooo beautiful:cry:

There have been so many great posts and links lately. :luv17:
First of all: thank you, Abril, for your translation of Chester No Limits. My Spanish is pretty much non-existent so I'm really thankful for that. I was reading some tweets with translations during the programme but as it was in real time it was a very abriged version (still thankful for that). But this is even better and I appreaciate your effort so much. :)
Aww, Beverly Smith's article reads itself like a poem. It so kind and warm...
And finally Prometo. I've thought that nothing could be better than Danny Boy, but apparently I was wrong. Javi has to perform it at ROI, please
The spin in the middle of the programme, where he bends his leg is so exquisite. And the looong Inna Bauer  I can't even describe it in words...

Err, another complete Prometo video from Calgary - which is now officially my favourite Canadian city. (This is shot almost or from first row seat, despite slight shakiness and focus problems, good to watch!)

One more Prometo, from Toronto.

Hmmm, I really would not describe recent weeks (or even months) as a Javi drought time! TV, print interviews, pics and/or videos almost every day. Only a fraction has ended up here of SOI, for example. Japanese audiences tend to post more text than pics or videos - or then the outlets are such that I have not been able to to ever find them... The good part is that FaOI is usually televised and I hope Prometo ends up being broadcast...

From his social media yesterday - has been in Madrid, working on his own show, https://www.instagram.com/p/BjC-JbdnB4b/ , seeing GF and in general extending his carbon footprint by flying around 2/3 or so of the globe in one week.

But he has to go soon enough, the shows in Japan start on Friday. There was news that the Kobe show will be on TV in mid June.

Guys I got a Kobe ticket which I was so looking out for. BUT had to buy it on resale and the price is like 4x its original value.
However since the trip would be a waste if I cannot see Javi and I am not sure if I can see him in Japan next year, I had to give in.:palmf:
