I don't think this comes as a surprise to anyone. He's talked openly in the past about his eating habits and preference for maintaining an unrealistically low weight during the competitive season. There's also been a lot of speculation about whether consulting with a nutritionist about a low-calorie eating program that could provide the maximum health benefits and help him to prevent the injuries and illnesses that have kept him from performing at his best. He's seemed resistant to the idea in the past, which suggested that he either had a distorted body image or got a sense of power from denying himself food--both typical symptoms of anorexia.
