The delay in Gracie's skates arriving obviously did her no favours - hence, the dodgy landing

I will be happy to see this particular Gracie SP go--hopefully this is the last time she has to perform it. What a dirge of a musical selection! She really needs better programs for next season.

Gracie's cause was not helped by having to go out in the first group.

^

not to mention her sp music is dreadful. I agree she needs better choreography next season

Gracie does need much better choreography and better music in her SP. Her skating skills are there, she just needs better material to show them off.

First time I've ever seen 7 ladies in one warm-up group. Is that in the ISU rules? Thought limit was 6 per group in singles.

This is because the Belarussian girl is added from the qualifying round to the short program eventhough she did not qualify to the short. She gets this opportunity because she is skating on home ice, but she has to skate first in the short regardless. :)

Since I presume barring an unusual occurrence or WD, that the rest of the field still to skate will score above 40 and qualify, I'd like to be officially bummed on behalf of Anine Rabe of Norway, who missed qualifying for the free skate by 0.03 of a point. To be so close....

Polina Shelepen is 3rd up in the next group and Adelina Sotnikova 6th up.

Personally, I fear for Adelina given the form she is in. She has consistently failed on the combination in the short program this season. Am I right in thinking that she will be doing a 3Tx3T? I know she cannot use the 3Zx3R due to the rules in place this season in juniors.

If she is feeling good, she may go for a 3Fx3T
