Kaetlyn Osmond

I looked it up in Webster's Dictionary, and they have the definition of 'joy' as the following.

''Definition of joy

1 a : the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires : delight

b : the expression or exhibition of such emotion : gaiety

2 : a state of happiness or felicity : bliss

3 : a source or cause of delight''

Kaetlyn Osmond Music Selections for 2018/19?

Anyone know if Osmond is keeping both programs for the next season or is the reigning World Champion planning to keep one or both of them? Do you think the FS will be another warhorse like other seasons or now that she has World Champ status does she have more room to get experimental?

Well as much as I enjoyed both her programs, I hope she spreads her wings (excuse the pun!) and tries something new. We had enough Swans last year.

I think she has picked her programs perfectly these past 2 seasons, warhorses and all. She was doing some choreography for a show number with Shae Lynn last week, but to be honest I watched it and was not a fan. I hope she sticks with Lance/Jeff and expands a bit.

Got to meet Kaetlyn today at a meet and greet in Halifax. Meagan and Eric were there too! :luv17:

Based on her past seasons, the only time she kept programs was when she got injured in 2014-2015 and this season's SP, which garnered a lot of success for her. I would love for her to do a type of experimental program like how V/M came out with Pink Floyd in 2009.

She's said it'll be new programs. Carrying over programs from season to season is rare for elite skaters, unless something's not working with the new one.

As far as the free skate goes, Kaetlyn wanted to do the Black Swan routine for a long time, and finally got her way this season. La Boheme was Ravi's idea. She said recently that she hadn't any idea what she'd be skating to yet, though Ravi may already have some ideas and hasn't gotten around to sharing them. That's something they'll turn to once the ice shows are finished.

Thanks for the heads up! I wonder if Lance Vipond/Jeffrey Buttle will be involved or if he comes in moreso when choreography is being formed.

It's great to know she will have brand new programs though! She's already hit her goal so I think she has plenty of time to experiment and really skate to what she loves (which seems to be the case but obviously in Olympic seasons and when not at the top there is temptation to pander to the judges' traditional tastes).

Won her 1st major International event with it at Nebelhorn 2012, besting Sotnikova in the process.

For the record the only time that Sotnikova bested KO as a senior, was in Sochi...go figure.

Sorry, each time I see Sotniknova's name mentioned I cringe a little and wonder 'where is she now'?

Back to Kaetlyn, nice to see how much she has improved in six years, not just in technical difficulty but very noticeably from this program to Swan Lake, her movements have become much more refined.
