i cry nearly all the time I watch the giant that is Bolero. this time they were tears of relief as I had been panicking all the way through after Anna's unexpected fall. what if my Kamila falls too? I know she would have gone to the Olympics anyway but when you care for a skater so much you become totally unreasonable.
and all those quads from the juniors made me somehow uneasy.
the new kids are coming, hungry for battles and victories, ready to throw off the podium the seniors who technically are already behind them.
Kamila is only one or two years older than them but she already skates as the queen (of an other planet). she's something else. she's never been just a jumping bean.
i don't want this miracle to retire after February. I so hope that her passion for the sport is as big as Yuzuru's.
i know, staying motivated after winning the biggest prize is insanely hard. so I hope she's one of those who never stop being hungry for medals and want to keep improving, because they can't live without skating...

What does that look like if you remove the handicap (no quads in the SP) and give her the same PCS factor as the men?

Raw score wise, she is less than one point away, but if you adjust, she is clear with room to spare.
Indeed, but the more intriguing part is that she does not even need these conversions.

With PCS factor 1.0 her free skate PCS would be 99.00 and her total score 313.00 - both on the spot. Replacing her 3F/3Lz+3T in the SP with 4S/4T+3T and the scoring from the FS would raise it to 322.53. She would have narrowly beaten Yuzuru Hanyu (322.36) in the Japanese men's final with that score.

That is simply amazing. We are going to run out of superlatives soon.

Speaking of adjustments, there are probably a few ladies that are competing with her that would‘t mind Kamila‘s PCS factor being lowered. To zero. haha

That was very special. KV is really coming into her own.

Is gooseflesh like Goosebumps here in America? )
Yes, gooseflesh, goosebumps and goose pimples are all English-language variants of the same idea. (In Afrikaans, it's hoendervleis, or "chicken flesh". Quite a few languages describe it using some bird skin comparison!)
