Putting aside my sad & furious mind to cheer our lovely Камила :
Keep Gliding, Keep Glowing, Keep Sparkling,
You are Excellence, You are my Truth.

These are the words of my mom :

"You write the most fabulous Russian tale of the time. Your grace and your talent annihilate the stains.
Tenderly admirer.

Has this interview been shared here before?

It's a long interview, transcribed in the comments, with one of her first coaches in Moscow, Igor Lyutikov. The comments are, alas, out of order, from what I can make out. However, the interview covers her work ethic, her early ability and talent, a story about her doggedly running thirty laps of the stadium next to the ice rink at the age of eight, and bullying she was subjected to by her peers, which led to her changing coaches.

It also led me to the video of little Kamilla skating to The Swan, by Saint-Saëns, aged eight.

I came across this video not twenty minutes ago, and I thought I would share it here - Kamila, about eight years old, skating to The Swan of Saint-Saëns.

Even at such a young age, she already had her spectacular flexibility, but what impresses me just as much is the beautiful softness of her arms, how lovely her tanos are, with the arm stretched and the hand carefully arranged, and her commitment to seeing out the choreography, down to the fluttering of her hand, even though she finishes after the music. So much of what makes Kamila a great skater can be seen in this video: she has so many wonderful qualities present even when very young.
