Needless to say, especially in Russian women figure skating, it's a miracle worthy of the Goddess, to return back after 4 years..

4 years? What are you talking about? Valieva was allowed to train and compete until 28.1.2024. Maybe I'm bad in math, but for me it's much less than 4 years. It's not even 2 years. Valieva wasn't allowed to do professional ice training, correct. But still she was allowed to skate for ice shows, "prepare" for ice shows (aka. ice training on lower level) and doing professional training in gym. She posted dozens of videos from gym and jumping triples (on ice). She participated in dozens of shows (how many? 40? 50? Even more? I stopped counting). Valieva was removed from ice for a short period of time before getting the permit to skate for Navka. It allowed Valieva to stay in an acceptable shape, not to lose all skills.
It's not a miracle if Valieva will be successful again. It's maybe not even the biggest comeback in figure skating (Kati Witt in 1994 after almost 5 years in shows only? 🤔 ). Still it's great a talent like Valieva will come back (hopefully) in full strength. If Valieva will dominate figure skating in Russia and maybe worldwide, I'm willing to call it the biggest comeback in figure skating history. If Valieva can restore 3A and one quad it would be sensational. But for sure it wouldn't be a miracle.
It's just great, one of the biggest stars in Russian figure skating history is back.

To anyone who speculated her comeback might not be serious.

I'm looking forward to see her again in september! she's more beautiful than ever. insane talent yes,but insane training in the gym as well. she has to rely on her leg muscles in order to jump quads now. i hope though she will be careful bc landing those jumps at that age can seriously affect her knees.
i was in tears after watching her at the jump contest.
the olympics will not be the olympics without her.
