It might be difficult to even get in the top 6 with that score, though. Let's assume top 10 already have 3 Russian ladies, 3 US ladies...I thought that was already her SB?

New music cut and choreography!
But she missed 33 combination (0:53: it seems that she is attempting a 3loop3toe )and another triple jump (also seems to be a 3loop)...
That's a cause of concern besides the usual problem of underrotations. But I'd rather she get the kinks out of the way in this competition and do better in Worlds. Thanks for the link. So sad about the popped jumps. That's a cause of concern besides the usual problem of underrotations. But I'd rather she get the kinks out of the way in this competition and do better in Worlds.
I actually really enjoyed her new choreography! It's still too much Gerard Butler for my tastes, but it's definitely better than the first choreo she had, and I find that the new choreo is much more her style.
About that interview, I like this part in particular:
"――So, has there ever been a time when you guys let a fight drag out to the point where you don’t talk to each other?
Kanako: There has (laughs). They can get pretty long.
――For like a week?
Kanako: Longer! But, then I would try to talk to him.
Shoma: Yeaaaaah lolol.
Kanako: And then he would run away! (laughs)
Shoma: I just can’t suddenly do a 180.
Kanako: But, I try so many times and so hard to try to talk to you (laughs).
Shoma: Yeaaah, I dunno (laughs).
Kanako: Ahahaha."
As for worlds, I don't have much expectation for her. Saw her practice video at university, her jumps are still like that - not so much improvement. Even if she skates clean at worlds, I am worried that she would still have UR calls...And Russian and American girls are so strong now. My only hope is that she can stay in top 10.
Love the Kanako-Shoma interaction. They're obviously very close as Shoma chose her to dump a bucket of ice on him for the ALS challenge. Still he was careful not to place his hand on her naked back when they were paired at the gala of last Japanese Nationals, perhaps aware someone might object?![]()
For Worlds, I want Kanako to get her season's best scores and help keep the three spots for Japanese ladies.
I like that he calls her kana-chan (while somebody just calling her kana or kanako...
).That is so cute! And Shoma used to give Kanako a cushion which Kanako named Shoma and brought to competition many times.![]()

Fuji WC special for Kanako just before ladies SP: It seems she confirmed that WC will be her last competition...And she said (probably after JN), she sometime begins to dislike skating. Not sure though - my poor Japanese listening. Hope someone could translate what she said one day.
That's sad to hear....I was really rooting for her this season and it kills me that she gets knocked by UR's while other skaters get a pass. But if she doesn't find any joy in compeitive skating anymore then she really has no reason to stay. I hope she gives the performace of her life here and end her career on a high note. Good luck Kana!
