fuji wc special for kanako just before ladies sp: It seems she confirmed that wc will be her last competition...and she said (probably after jn), she sometime begins to dislike skating. Not sure though - my poor japanese listening. Hope someone could translate what she said one day.

Oh I also cried with her, I think many of us did. So many have written her off, and it is good she showed all of us what she is capable of. For me hers was the best artistic skate in the women's short. Her best SP score btw is 66.64 at 2013 Worlds, and her score now of 65.48 is just a smidgen behind. And I am so happy also she went back to her golden dress.

Praying that she also does well in her FP. Go Kanako!

It was nice to see Kanako happy after her skate after her disappointments this season. Not a POTO fan, but I do like her short, even with the singing!

The Kanako smile is back!

So happy and proud of her. I remember watching this SP live at NHK and it was very, very good. Too bad she got hit with the URs there. But at Worlds, wow, it felt like a new program for me. Got a bit teary eyed!

Kanako's performance was my favorite. Much more elegant, balletic and artistic with more speed than I have even seen from her before and really emotional. Simply beautiful!! Even her Biellmann was well done. I don't understand the 65. It is too low to me. I really hope she doesn't retire. Just to let you know her performance on youtube has 44 likes and 0 dislikes so far. So a lot of people really like Kanako's performance.

She could've stood on the Worlds podium, so I really hope that she finishes the season with very strong performances.
