That 2A3T is huge! Her jumps are actually powerful, far, high, full of speed. Really hope she can fix the edge problem of lutz and come back fresh and stronger.
And I am so glad that she didn't zayak. Turning 3s2lo2lo into 3s2t2lo saved Team J the 3rd spot.

It kills me that she's not getting more medals because she has so much potential! If only she had better techniques

Although it's a shame she injured herself, I'm glad she made the wisest choice and sits out on the ice shows. I hope it's nothing too serious and she recovers soon.

Me too. While it's sad that she won't do any show, it was also a wise decision. She needs to recover and prepare fully to come back strong next season, so no show will help her giving more time for both. :yes:
I wonder what happened, tho. Hopefully it's nothing too serious but recovery will still take training time, so she decided to play it safe? :yes:

Reworking on jumping technique is not an easy task. I am glad and proud that Kanako seems determined this time to fix her problem. Two weeks ago, she was still hesitating whether to quit and now she is in full gear mentally. Mao took a year out to fix her jumps, right？ I wouln't be surprised if Kanako also needs a year out. I will wait for her.

Kimura Takuya, a Japanese well-known actor, mentioned that he chatted for a while with Yuzuru and Kanako at WTT backstage. He praised Yuzu for his great performance and he said he likes Kanako’s smile which reminds him of his daughter in his new drama “I’m home”.
And Kanako will be in a TV show with Kenji Miyamoto on May 5, 12, 19.

Kanako said that on the 29th, while she was doing her warm up off-ice she hurt her feet. She can't skate yet, but walking is okay now. Then today she had a chance to see PIW from start to finish and was very touched! She will work hard to skate in front of everyone again. She then apologized for the worry and inconvenience she had caused.
Akiko and Nobu both posted messages of encouragement and told her not to rush!
