Kazuki Tomono

The ramen is always welcome in this thread, @kwanette 😁

Thank you for sharing Kazuki's words, he has long looked up Yuzuru, he has an album of pics from when he first met him. I really believe that he's going to admire Yuzu forev
I think Kazuki would appreciate that, if that makes you feel better. ;) Very fitting for his thread. I wish I could help with advice, but I've barely learnt how to embed photos from Twitter so...
I still do not know how to do screen caps w my phone..

@kwanette thank you for linking the nonno article! Another great piece with wonderful pics 😍
Some highlights for me:
- He learned a lot from training at TCC ❤️
- He wants to include 4lo and 3A3A into his programmes, but not yet! He'll focus on perfecting his current layout first (I'm really happy about that, it's a smart strategy)
-
He's looking for a new sponsor/affiliation (he says there is 'financial anxiety' I really hope he finds a new sponsor soon 🥲)

@Arriba627 Thank you for sharing this clip, as usual Shoma and Kazuki are so funny and cute together! Can't wait for more shenanigans at The Ice!

Speaking of The Ice, check out this cool group pic! Seeing Kazuki next to Jason makes my heart melt:

I'm happy with Kazuki's assignments! He tends to do well in Europe, and he had said he wanted NHK so that's nice. I'm resigned to the fact that he was paired with Yuma and Shoma, JSF has this weird thing about assigning the top skaters to do GP together instead of spreading them out 💀

In the meantime, it seems that he performed his free today at The Ice! Apparently the costume has a black tie!? Can't wait to see it!

Also, he will be featured in the next edition of SPUR magazine, talking about sauna and fashion!

Can anyone come cheer for Kazuki to France? I've dreamed of Kazuki plus Sota together in Europe as I haven't seen Kazuki yet, but GP France looks very gloomy for me right now. I'd only consider it if Sota is assigned to the US Challenger. But maybe one of the Kazuki fans here can make it to France?

It's still a 10% likeliness (I'm optimistic) but I hope I can. Angers is much easier for me than Grenoble. He's such a performer, and I believe that when he owns these programs they can be fire.
I'm not surprised that NHK demanded him as Yuzuru Hanyu won't be there to attract viewers. And I suppose the Japanese federation wanted one of their medallists to be there too. I'm sure Shoma will be happy to have him with him, he will feel less lost. He was such a kind "same-age senpai" at The Ice! France with Yuma looks more of a surprise.

Oh lord, now I realized something. If Kagiyama wins, which is likely, and Kazuki also ends up competing in France, no matter his placement, then zero chance of Sota getting a gala slot there, unless he podiums, and this is his only GP. I mean, I'm happy for Kazuki and his galas are always the epitome of fun, but this realization... baww.

I thought organisers had some leeway for galas, but I agree that it's unlikely because in all probability, Kevin Aymoz and Adam Siao Him Fa will skate at the Gala.

That sounds pretty rough that Kazuki is having financial anxiety. How could that have happened to him? I wish there was something we could do to help him. What about a GoFundMe page? I don’t know if those are a thing in Japan but they seem to be global. I bet lots of people would be glad to help until he gets a new sponsor.

If it’s about sauna and fashion I wonder if there will be lots of picture of him doing both activities since he enjoys them so much.

As a Kazuki fan and also a Sota fan, going to GP France would be a dream come true for me 😍 In terms of logistics, it's not bad to go there from where I live, the problem is 💸

Hey, welcome back 🥰

I'm hoping the financial anxiety is not that serious, considering that in previous articles he admitted he spends a lot of money on clothes 😂

Some Japanese skaters are joining a platform called Unlim for crowdfunding, if Kazuki joins, then we could help him. In any case, he's better off than most: he earned money from international competitions and galas last season, and he's been doing a lot of shows this off-season, in addition to receiving top-level funding as part of JSF's Special Strengthening group. But, of course, it would be good if he had a sponsor too, I think that's why he mentioned it in the article.
