Kazuki Tomono

I hope someone asks him about the cool headwear he's received from fans in comps this season; what he's going to do with it. If it takes on among fans, his collection could grow into an original little museum by the end of his career.

ETA: aww, does anyone know where this photo of Kazuki cheering for Marin and Rika is from? http://www.pictame.com/media/1949067468706626756_6891011260

Thanks for the heads up, AQFS! In fact I did tweet a question (a friend helped with the Japanese). It was how is his 4T training going. Let's see if he replies... ;)

So, this weekend Kazuki is participating in the Japan University Student On Ice Championship. I guess no broadcast, but here are the entries for the Men: https://twitter.com/tsuyoboogie/status/1081120997233676289 and event schedule: https://twitter.com/tsuyoboogie/status/1081120998873649153

Last but not least, Kazuki sent Happy New Year cards to fans who have sent letters to him. It has a pic of him on the front and a Disney theme on the back! So sweet :luv17: https://twitter.com/Mr_BalladeNo1/status/1081194067692638209

He is really so sweet :luv17:

Hope your question gets picked ;)

Wish Kazuki the best of luck in tomorrow SP

Kazuki is first after the SP with (79.43), I wonder if the protocols will be released
https://twitter.com/AxelQuadruple/status/1081833155143729152

Although he was able to land all his jumps he messed up his last spin.
This is his short statement after the performance, love those meme pictures

Sooooo... Unfortunately Kazuki ended up in second at the Japanese Intercollegiate Championships, behind Shu Nakamura. What happened? Shu was completely clean and Kazuki made mistakes on both of his quads, UR the first one and falling on the second. However, he would have still won had he not made that mistake with his spin on the SP! Hope he has learned this hard lesson... :(

He definitely had a 'kuyashii' smile at the medal ceremony, and quite right so:

Thankfully later he seemed to go back to his usual sunshine self:

His face when getting his cheeks pinched was so funny, it became a meme on twitter

His mistakes will be a good learning experience for 4CC.
Wishing him the best and he is probably working on getting it right.

Really hope he can do well at 4CC. I think how he does there will mean a lot to his confidence down the road. You can do it Kazuki!

Quite sad Kazuki wasn't able to win the event but yeah, it should be a good lesson for him. He usually doesn't get the GOEs or PCS that could back up his mistakes so it is important for him to gain the highest base value and doesn't lose easy points from it.

On the other hand, he updated his IG with a heartfelt message to Miyata Daichi and Shu Nakamura who he competed together with them back in 2016 junior world and he calls them his favorite seniors. I guess this is the last time Miyata Daichi will compete in this competition (guess he will graduate) so he specially thanks him.
Kazuki is always so sweet

I'm not 100% sure, but I have the impression that Daichi Miyata is retiring. It seems that he had an injury after the 2015-16 season and couldn't really return properly. It's a shame, Kazuki obviously admires him a lot.

Awww I really like the snippets of Kazuki's life as a university student. In a way, I'm quite happy he's not that famous yet, so he can be relaxed in public and enjoy his time with his friends :luv17:

Oh, didn't know about his injury. I just used google to translate Kazuki's message so I assumed it was just his last in this competition not overall since he is quite young still.

If he is really retiring, I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors

Our friend Tsuyoboogie confirmed Kazuki's post was indeed because of Daichi's retirement: https://twitter.com/tsuyoboogie/status/1083147781143818240

Kazuki also retweeted a video of Daichi skating on Twitter... Seems like he is a great fan of Daichi. What a shame!

As a Sota fan, the possibility of Daichi retiring because of a career-ending 2016 injury sends shivers down my spine. Nevermind. It's sweet of Kazuki to acknowledge Daichi like that so that more people will notice him.

I agree, Kazuki's tribute was very sweet!

BTW, last Thursday (10/01) was Sota Yamamoto's 19th birthday. Sota is one of Kazuki's best friends, if not THE best friend. Therefore, I thought it was a good opportunity to remember a couple of sweet Kazuki & Sota moments from the Heroes & Future ice show last summer!

Congrats to Kazuki who is celebrating his coming of age ^^

He updated his IG story with a photo. Love the suit, fits him well

Looking very dapper at his Coming of Age ceremony! Congrats on being officially an adult, Kazuki! TV Asahi was there and interviewed him, which means, we will hopefully get videos

I didn't know what a 'Coming of Age ceremony' was, but I found this bit on Wiki:
Coming of age ceremonies (成人式 Seijin-shiki) mark one's coming of age (age of maturity), which reflects both the expanded rights but also increased responsibilities expected of new adults. The ceremonies are generally held in the morning at local city offices throughout Japan. All young adults who turned or will turn 20 between April 2 of the previous year and April 1 of the current one and who maintain residency in the area are invited to attend. Government officials give speeches, and small presents are handed out to the newly recognized adults

Haha, ABC is now part of his family so they sure were there

Looking forward to see the interview tomorrow ^^

Oh yeah, they pretty much adopted Kazuki, didn't they? They said something about Kazuki being part of the 'ABC Family'...
