Kazuki Tomono

Good luck to Kazuki at the Kansai competition. My sensei made a 'Kazuki' sign for my banner today :) I'll have it printed on a banner next week, and hopefully I'll be able to take it to Luxembourg to cheer Kazuki on ^ ^

So, Kazuki won the Kansai student championship today! No broadcast, unfortunately :(
He attempted a crazy layout: 4Lo(fall), 4T(fall) 4S 3F 4S2T(so) 3A 1A
Four quads of three different types, and 3As as the last jumping passes! :drama::eeking:
But, on the other hand, he finally landed a 4S in the second half, which it something he struggled to do before! So in a way his yolo strategy worked

It was a very emotional event for him, as his Doshisha senpai and figure skating club captain Junsuke Tokikuni and good friend Junya Watanabe retired :sad21:
Here are some pics from the event:

Then he posted some IG stories:

As you can see, he was really sobbing... Such a caring and devoted friend :luv17:

Awww that's super nice! I'm sure Kazuki will love it!

The schedule hasn't been posted yet, and neither has the list of skaters. I think the entries must have been closed by now, so no idea why they're not up. However, there's finally an email address of the organizer posted on the ticket page. I suggest we ask them there. As absurd as it may seem to us, they may not have thought of the fact that some fans are only interested in specific events :7 I intend to ask them if practices are accessible. Incredible that important info isn't provided that could be around all year round.

The schedule's up now: http://coupeduprintemps.com/schedule/
Kazuki skates on Friday and Sunday. I am thinking you guys who were thinking about arriving on Friday, if you make it downtown by say 1 PM you should still be able to get to the rink in time to see him. They say the schedule is subject to change, but I have a hard time believing they'd start with senior men and leave the kids for later.
ETA, now I really want them to post the entries list... come on!
and lol, about the gala - what does cocktail on ice even mean :D

This is the worst schedule for me ☹️
I will send them an email to have more details about the time of the short men but I have lost all my hopes... I really wanted to see MR (and a victory ceremony) since I have already seen his short live (even though it was devastating that time)

Oh, no, Giu! They did say it's a provisional schedule...

Even if it’s provisional I’m not going to pay now for a plane ticket and an accommodation without being certain to see Kazuki. I will wait but this means that prices will go up and my chances to come will go down. I mean, I’m lucky cause I saw him three times and I don’t really need to come to Luxemburg, it’s only a whim of mine...

Also, not a long ago we were saying in Sota FF that it would be nice to see both Kazuki and Sota in the same competition in Europe, that it would be a merry meeting... it seemed impossibile but now that this wish came true I can’t come :(

What days could you come then, Giu? Just for Friday and Saturday? I wonder if the FP practices would be held on Saturday, it's worth a try to ask them. But I am scratching my head at 'everyone's practices (of everything? what?) being held on Friday when the boys skate on Sunday... huh.

I understand... :cry::cry::cry:

I was planning to arrive on Friday late in the afternoon, to attend to the competitions on Saturday and then leave on Sunday, it sounded perfect to me :dance2:

As for practices, I believe that on Saturday they will have to practice in another rink

^ that's one more thing I want to ask them as practices are normally accessible. Maybe they mean at the main rink and there's a side rink as well... Luxembourg looks so tiny, I wonder if they even have another rink... It would be a pity if none of the other Kazuki fans from here could come :[

I came across this very cute picture of Yuzuru fixing Kazuki's hat at 4CC: https://twitter.com/KiraraChin/status/1231847294313672706
I'm impressed, because Kazuki isn't really the 'helpless' type, and yet Yuzuru got to 'baby' him  Yuzuru's power!

Also, Kazuki yesterday attended the Meiji x Hosey on Ice (MHOI) show! He didn't skate, but he was welcoming the public in a very extra manner :laugh2:
