CBC commentary for his Rostelecom Cup LP is at 1:21 (the password is men): https://vimeo.com/299710892 His SP wasn't broadcast on Canadian television.

Thanks for posting this. TBH I wasn't so keen on these commentators, they seemed a bit dismissive of Kazuki.

B.ESP uncles, on the other hand, made very nice comments about Kazuki at Rostelecom:

About the SP:
- You can almost see Misha out there on the ice.
- Yes, that expression, the way he finishes everything off, he really has emulated Misha. Lovely to watch. It makes such a difference when the skater goes out there and commits to every arm movement.

About the FS:
- That was sensational. He went out all guns blazing right from the off, he kept the presentation going, it's a brilliant programme, and I love the way the crowd gets behind him when he does those Riverdance bits. But he kept in character from start to finish, kept the focus on the big jumps, didn't let anything go. Couple of dicey moments, when he had to put a turn in between it, but he still knuckled down, made sure he got the second part of the combination in where he needed them. It was a really, really sensible skate. You can see there, he doesn't really get his legs straight in the air on the axel, he's gotta work on that, because who knows... He might be able to sneak another turn... A mighty strong athlete, both mentally and physically. There, you can see, he puts a turn in between it...
- There's not a lot of him, is there?
- No.
- But he's packed with power.

About the Gala:
- The star of the show! No Yuzuru for the thousands of Japanese who made the trip, but didn't this young man take over the mantle. Fabulous from Kazuki Tomono. Boy, he's got the moves! So sharp, every beat of the music reflected out there on the ice... Astonishing.

B.ESP uncle's seem to really like Kazuki, from NHK last year on, which makes me happy :)

Honestly, I am usually skeptical to all commentators not only in FS but in sports in general because it is not always based on enough knowledge or unbiased opinion. Yah, can't deny that I feel happy if I hear a good word about my favs but don't always take their words seriously (good or bad)

ABC which made the interview with Kazuki in the Ramen shop has welcomed Kazuki in the airport and made a quick interview with him there.

Funny parts from that:
- He said he the watch gift caught his attention more than the medal. (He is of course joking but we saw his reaction in the VC when he saw the expensive watch gift so it is partially true too )
- He said the first thing he wants to do as he returned to Japan is to eat Ramen (He really did as per his IG story)

Here is the interview video (His smile when surprised to see the MC at airport and then trying to fix his hair already made my day )

B.ESP uncles should be included in the Queen's Honours IMO ;)

So Misha Ge is part of his permanent coaching staff now? As choreographer ?

Misha calls himself Kazuki's 'coach-coreographer', but he doesn't appear on Kazuki's official list of coaches, I guess because he's not with him full-time. But they do seem to have a pretty cool mentor/student relationship, and I hope it's for the long-term...

Reposting from Yuzu thread, what he said about Yuzu:

Btw, I remember he will have a show and skating class even on the 2nd of December. Is there any other event he is involved in before the nationals?

Not that I know of, which is probably for the best. It's better to focus on training and preparation for the Nationals, because it won't be easy!

On a different note, some more Kazuki pics from Skate Canada (thanks to the user):

Yah, hope this is the case. The priority should be him focusing on training and his stategy for the nationals.

This year the nationals going to be so interesting to watch both in men and women. It will be a fierce fight for everyone.

With the addition to Dai and Sota now in better shape along with the strong juniors who qualified to the senior national, it will be much harder than last year but I really hope our boy will achieve the results he wants.
