【Doshisha Atom only part】
—We've got a question regarding skating orders (in competition). Does it make any differences?
All: Ah...
Tomono(T): It depends (on time and circumstances), I think.
Nakamura(N): I got used to it (any order) now!
Honda(H): It's the same for me no matter when, maybe... If you ask me what I prefer, then maybe I'd want 2nd or 3rd in a group.
T: I like 2nd or 3rd the best, too.
H: I want 1st.
{Note: Taichi did say 2nd or 3rd at first and then for some reason he said 1st...? Not sure if he changed his mind while talking or what. Need more context.}
—You do?
H: Since we have a good environment with our ice rink, we do music run-through as we go along with the flow in lessons. Often doing it when we're already out of breath.
N: We often end up doing a run-through as a flow of practice (without rest).
H: So, maybe 2nd after a little bit of rest. If I get to choose, I'd rather have it sooner (than later)...
T: I'd like it sooner too, if I get to choose.
H: There aren't probably many who want it later.
N: I'm used to it, no matter when.
T: 2nd or 3rd is the most balanced out of all. 1st isn't bad either I guess, but it's hard for me personally to get prepared. So, to take a breather, 2nd or 3rd.
—Do you take your skates off or keep them on, depending on your skating order?
T: I'd probably take them off when I'm skating 3rd or later.
H: How about 3rd in SP?
T: I wouldn't (take them off then), either.
H: I was 3rd in SP today (at In-Colle). I'd take them off if (I'm skating) 3rd in Free.
T: I'd take them off when skating in the second half of the group (4th or later).
H: 3rd is tricky to decide which.
N: I'd take them off even when I'm skating 3rd. Maybe not completely take them off, but I'd redo the bootlaces and such.
—Why do you take them off?
N: It's tiring to have them on for long.
T: You'll get tired!
H: With skates on, it's more tiring to walk off ice for 10 mins, trying to keep yourself warm, than skating on ice for an hour. Don't like it. It's more effective to run (to keep warm) without skates.
T: When you have your skates on, you don't really feel you're on the earth.
N: You wobble.
T: You don't really feel like you're moving.
H: It feels like your body gets cold.
—Is there something that you yield to nobody?
N: (Being) positive.
T: Positive? Shu-kun, you're positive (in general)?
N: Positive, positive.
T: You're lying.
H: Hey, that's originally my joke. [laugh]
N: Oh, really? [laugh]
T: I thought Shu-kun was rather negative.
H: He barks positive and gets quite depressed.
T: That. [laugh]
N: I got pretty depressed the other day, and I was like, 'Well, but I've got the next one coming anyways (so it'll be fine).' [laugh]
T: What do I have (for the topic)? I'm positive too.
H: So am I!
―If all of you are positive, then that's not something you yield to nobody... [laugh]
N: Okay, then, I'm cool.
All: [laugh]
T: Can't disagree, it's annoying. [laugh]
H: Kazuki, you'd better say that one too, say you're cool.
T: Okay, I won't give in, I'm cooler... I'm more
ikemen than anyone else. Laugh, in parentheses.
{Note: he's pretending to read a written script, as in, parenthesis, laugh, end parenthesis as [laugh]}
N&H: Right. [laugh]
T: Gimme a break. What should I pick?
N: Like, getting teased to get a laugh.
H: For Kazuki? Definitely right.
N: It's a blessing to be teased.
T: I'm loved!
T: What is it for Taichi? Otoko-mae (handsome character)... Trusty!
N: You do have a personal magnetism (to get trusted). I got none.
H: Because you never remember people's names, Shu-kun. [laugh] Even those names you should definitely remember, you always go like, 'who?'
N: Nobody ever come to me for advice.
T: Shu-kun is good at finding something good about others. You're praising others for anything.
N: I guess that's probably because I love myself.
T: I'm honest! [laugh] Both in a good and bad way, I'm very simple and straightforward. You can easily see when I'm interested in something and when I'm not. All my emotions are clear on my face, whether I'm angry or having fun. Probably I'm just the way you think I am, I think. Hardly dual-faced.
—Please tell us a story that doesn't slip, if you have any.
{Note: It's a double-meaning question as a joke for fun, 'a story that doesn't slip' implies a story that doesn't fall flat, and also a story that sort of involves skating but not exactly skating/slipping itself. Whoever sent this question is asking for a funny story or joke slightly involves skating.}
H: May I ask you to have asked us a day earlier for that question?
{=You should have asked us a day before to prepare} [laugh]
T: I didn't think this one would be chosen (to be asked here).
N: May I...(leave now)? I'm sleepy...
T: Like, someone had their sequins studded on the reverse (inner) side of the costume? Will that do (as a story that doesn't slip)?
H: It's tough, because ordinary small talks are generally the funniest...
T: Our usual talks are just too funny... It's so hard to deliver, isn't it.
N: I'm sleepy...
T: There should be one. I feel like there are some, as we always get fked up with something.

—Tell us your resolutions for the year 2019.
H: Last year, of course I wanted to show results, but it was pretty difficult. I had uphill battles in training, rather than trying to deliver in competitions. For the next year, I'm aiming to show results in competitions.
N: I'm not very good at competing in nature. Of course I want to have results, but I recently started to realize that I couldn't be ambitious enough. I came to think that, instead of just wanting results, I'd try to enjoy many other things too with all my might and I'd be fine with that. (It would be great) if the result will follow. But going after results only won't be fun, so I'd like to enjoy skating itself in 2019.
—You've changed your point of view as before.
N: Changed a lot. In particular, Japan Nats changed me. I went for a result at Nats, and you know what happened. To be honest, I was having no fun at all in Free, I was just exhausted and wanted to quit. Results are important, but I came to wonder and thought I should enjoy it.
―What about you, Tomono-san?
T: I had long been trying to enjoy skating for myself, how I could have fun with it. But now I want to fight in the competitive world, like Shoma Uno senshu (Toyota) and Yuzuru Hanyu senshu (ANA). For the past year, I couldn't bring out all there. Before, I had no pressures and I could just skate freely. In the competitive world, I want to enjoy skating AND bring results to the best of my ability while I'm at it. I would like to jump into the world that I've never experienced/felt before.
Finally, they showed their recent favorite photos in their smartphones for us!

It's his selfie shot right after he got his hair cut!
△Tomono senshu
In Russia, where he visited for the competition.
△Honda senshu
It's the first alchohol he ever had as he turned 20!

Okay, that's the end of the series according to KanSpo. Doshisha Atom didn't mention it's the complete end of the series(完結/conclude), so perhaps they may do another for Tomono-kun if motivated enough, who knows. I'm hoping they will!
