Does Kazuki have a habit of changing costumes mid-season? I don't think so? ... Oh my, the two main onsen boys are really not making us too happy these days, are they? But I'm sure if Kazuki skates clean and does well in competition, you'll forgive him for his pajama-like creation. 
If it's any consolation, according to his fans Sota had some sort of black outfit for his (ugh!) SP... I can only hope they were practice clothes...

Yes, he did great today! 
He landed 4T2T 4S 3A, and earned a score of 88.99!

As you can see, everything clean and levels 3/4!
As usual, one could argue his scores could be higher, and the judges were probably stingy in PCS and GOE... But oh well, I'll take this result! He said his goal is to keep calm, and tackle one thing at a time.

Kazuki won the Gensan Summer Cup today! This is the fifth time he wins this tournament, and the prize of prime beef!
He did 4T2T 2S 4T<fall 2F 3Aeu2S 3Aq(so) 3lz2T, he was second in the free with a score of 140.50 and first overall with a total score of 229.49. Here's his protocol: https://twitter.com/Tomono_Infonet/status/1425755260564369418
I'm so happy and proud of him. Firstly, this is a great start of the season. Secondly, surely winning against Yuma will give him a confidence boost - he said last season his aim was to win against him and he couldn't achieve that. Yes, it's early in the season and Yuma wasn't at his best, but still Kazuki was able to hold his ground even though he was the last to perform and Yuma had done reasonably well in the free. This already shows Kazuki is now more mature compared to last season.

Still not happy with this costume... But the skating itself is beautiful, he's so much faster than a few years ago and the choreo looks quite a bit different, too.

I saw it today. It's a nice program, and I agree Kazuki's done loads of work on his flow and SS. I am happy the video is still up. I recommend checking out the rest asap (Kazuki's FS is there too!), I have heard the TV are jealous about the broadcasting rights and plan to re-broadcast it in Japan next month, so the videos might not stay on YT for long.
I now see what you meant about the costume, Kirara. I agree it doesn't flatter Kazuki's body type. I mean, billowy around the stomach and hips, that actually flatters very few men, and short guys like Kazuki look unnecessarily wider in it. I wish they'd picked a costume that shows off Kazuki's body lines more.

He said he hadn't practiced the FS enough, and it shows, but still a nice performance considering it's super early in the season! It really shows progress compared to last season, and although the music is overused, it definitely suits him.
About the SP costume, yup, that's my biggest gripe too. The colours are nice but the shape doesn't flatter him at all! Plus, the material looks synthetic and uncomfortable. I much prefer the old costume...

Kazuki will be participating in the Osaka Figure Skating championship this Sunday (22 Aug). Seems to be FS-only, and other participants include Mitsuki Sumoto and Sena Miyake.
