Kazuki Tomono

Kazuki seems to be expanding his culinary range with that 'burger' T-shirt? Or maybe all his favorite ramen ones are in the laundry.
I hope he medals at Gensan.
Re. the skaters from the FS Life talk, I think two of them are Kohei Yoshino (I think he does choreograpy now), and Tsunehito(?) Karakawa who I remember seeing in the Nationals entries lists. Both of them are retired IIRC, but neither was a top-tier skater, so I'm not sure why they're in PIW. Maybe it was a part of their farewell season or maybe they're both great entertainers? Honestly, no idea :)
That is a vintage shirt..Burger Chef went out of business in the mid 1990's..

Thanks for the clarification! I think some of these retired skaters end up joining the permanent PIW cast (they do group numbers more like synchro skaters from what I saw). Maybe Kazuki loves PIW so much that he would want to join this cast some day 😂

Meanwhile, someone uploaded practice videos from Skate Canada 2018 - always good to revisit Riverdance 🍀

TY for posting this..He is so "performative"..

Yesterday my Comcast went cuckoo w a narrative feature and all of my HBO channels were in Spanish..As I was trying to fix things..a Kevin Hart movie was ending and w the closing credits..I heard music which sounded familiar..It was Kazuki's sp music for the coming season..and it made me "Happy"..

Kazuki will start the 2022/23 season as the 13th in the world standings! 🥳

It's the first time I see him so high up in the standings - normally he's around 20-25th. He did such a good job last season, and can we speak about the visual shock that is seeing his name above Yuzuru Hanyu 🙀 Of course that was because Yuzu only competed once internationally, but still, I'd never thought I'd see something like this!

Congratulations to Kazuki! It's well deserved. It's amazing he got this far all on his own, with occasional collab with Ge etc., but without fully switching to a fab center like TCC. I hope his success is a wakeup call for the JSF who tends to hype youngsters and overlook the older skaters. After all, Kazuki is a great example of hard work paying off at any age. :)

I absolutely agree! He is a "scrapper" and never gave up..even w JSF's "favoritism" and the questionable judging at Rostelecom Cup and in the sp at 4 Conts..There..I said it..Hard work..and no coach w political clout! Go, Kazuki!!

https://nonno.hpplus.jp/article/87838/03/ I loved this article!! Rented a car and drove on the LA Freeway.. I love his view on life..
I also loved this article! He's such a positive person that he even enjoyed being stuck in a traffic jam in LA, saying it was 'just like in La La Land' 😄

Someone very kindly posted the interview's translation on Twitter
