Kazuki Tomono

I missed Kazuki and everyone before him because my visiting family were leaving ;_; And I'm afraid my TV won't archive the second half of the men's FS because some more important sports coverage was starting and they don't archive stuff that's shoved into online broadcast mode only. If anyone stumbles upon Kazuki's FS video, please share it
OTOH, I did see Kazuki's SP, and I liked it a lot. He was enjoying the performance just as much as the practices. Onwards to Nationals, Kazuki! I still believe in him, and wouldn't underestimate him.
I want Kazuki in the gala. Luckily, I don't think he'll need to save Sota this time, as the organizers will be speaking Japanese ^ ^

Are the ISU youtube links working for you? The first 6 are always seperately uploaded as well.

Hi everyone, sorry I'm away at a family event and haven't had much opportunity to be on a computer. Just wanted to share Kazuki's thoughts after the free skate - as usual he's very self-aware but also able to see the positives.

Quotes from this thread:

“I switched my mindset since yesterday and thought a lot, I confronted my weaknesses and realized that I lacked confidence. This morning, I focused on my strength. The second and third quadruple wasn't good, but I tried to focus on my strength.”

“Even when I fail, I arrived at the point where I achieve a good score that shows my improvement. The quality of my program improved. I get more and more confidence and that reflects on my skating.”

“I feel I'm improving year by year. There were no big ups-and downs since the Gp started. Of course I have regrets, but I want to work on my skills for the Nationals.”

Also, I loved this from Canadian sports journalist Beverley Smith:

Can you see a video here?

I'm on mobile so I can't really test.

Unfortunately, it's geoblocked as well. I'll keep searching YT and googling until I have a VPN, then. Our dumb TV really cut it off after Matteo's program... :palmf: IDK, why don't the governing bodies rule that blocking sports content *after* competitions is illegal, and unblock the ISU streams. That would be bliss. People shouldn't have to get VPNs to gain access to past (and sometimes long past) competitions :/

Thank you for the information, Kirara! BTW, I was very happy to notice Kazuki by the boards during Sota's FS, cheeing for him. Here, at 6:38: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG5uXZrbGNU What a competitor, and what a friend! (y)

I saw that..and it is not the first time we have seen his graciousness, Worlds last yr for Shoma and Yuma during the medal ceremony, clapping by the boards for Keegan Messing at Nebelhorn this yr..and standing and clapping enthusiastically for Ilia at one of the summer shows when Ilia did the 4 ax..He's a good boy..

I use the Opera browser w a free VPN..I say that I am in Europe.

I embed ISU's Short and Free programs videos in case you can see them but usually I don't see the videos which are geoblocked in my country, even embedded:

I hope you can find a working link. Maybe on Bilibili?

^ The SP is enabled, but the FS is geoblocked again. But, I opened the Opera yesterday, and found the VPN there. Now, when I figure out how to change my European country to some non-geoblocked one (ideas?), I hope I will finally be able to watch the entire group 2 of men's free, including Kazuki - whew! I have his SP on my TV's coverage, fortunately, and hopefully also the gala. Our commentators praised Kazuki for his SP, especially his performance skills, but I think that comes as no surprise ;)

any country close to Japan could work?

This is making me smile:

Sota half-hugging his friend Kazuki at the banquet. And at the gala, he was following Kazuki around again, always hovering near him. It seems the boys went to sauna together after the competition, too:

I'm guessing they're cherishing the rare opportunity to meet up and talk live when they compete together.
