Yeah, they announced the stream will be free, and there will be a free archive as well. Hooray for accessible competitionsKokutai used to be free to watch, and not geoblocked, so fingers crossed!
I already posted this in Sota’s fan fest and I assume you already know that Kazuki will be part of Daisuke's new show "Kassouya" in February, which sets out to showcase young Japanese skaters, who may not yet be widely known and otherwise wouldn’t get many show opportunities. Kazuki will be one of the few current top skaters leading the cast (along with Sota, Koshiro and Sena).

Kazuki's cast photo has just been posted on the official Kassouya ig account:
Learning any new language is difficult. It may take more than one listening to understand what was said, but you’ll get it.The "Blue Post Rink" podcast, brought to you by a reporter from the Mainichi Newspaper's Sports Department, is a program that links to the lives of our listeners. We bring you topics on figure skating, both inside and outside the rink. In the 11th episode, Kurasawa, who interviewed Kazuki Tomono (Uenoshiba Skating Club) on the 16th, will give a behind-the-scenes look at the interview.![]()

Tomono has been writing a column "Honestly, Smile, Happily" in Mainichi Shimbun, but it has been a while since his last interview. This is a look back at the interview and Tomono's thoughts. This is a must-listen for all Tomono's fans.
Japanese fans are so luckyI tried listening to it, but as expected I couldn't understand anything, and they speak really fast...
Well hello handsome. I wonder what the show will be like? I hope we can see videos from it. Seems last I heard the show would only be about 1 hour.
), Kana Muramoto, Kanako Murakami, Sota Yamamoto, Kazuki, Koshiro Shimada, Sena Miyake and Yuna Aoki
Thank you so much for this info! The concept sounds really interesting, and the visuals are so cool:This is the information Daisuke has given about the show in various interviews / tv and radio talk shows:
I can tell you some of what was said. I asked a Japanese friend of mine to help translate 9:34-14:30. The two men talking were talking about things unrelated to figure skating, but then they said someone informed them they should talk about Kauzki. The two of them got up early to go to Osaka to meet with Kazuki. Kazuki is famous for a column he is doing. One of the guys said he meets with Kazuki often in private on the job, but interviewing him is so rare. Nanba in Osaka is where the interview took place. The "Blue Post Rink" podcast, brought to you by a reporter from the Mainichi Newspaper's Sports Department, is a program that links to the lives of our listeners. Thank you so much for this! It is true that he rarely gives big interviews like that. I believe Nanba in Osaka is where his home rink is located.I can tell you some of what was said. Aaaahhh I'm so happy for him (although really, he should have gone to 4CC), and sad for myself that I can't goKazuki's going to Challenge Cup with Tatsuya! Good luck!![]()

I feel for you.Aaaahhh I'm so happy for him (although really, he should have gone to 4CC), and sad for myself that I can't go
I hope it's a good competition for him, and that it leads to some world standing points. Also, fingers crossed there is a nice stream![]()
It's some rotten luck, really, with the living costs being so high, because I'm sure you'd love it otherwise. I imagine it's much cheaper than the 2020 CdP as there was no entrance fee last year, and the food is affordable if you buy it in bakeries and not at/near the venue. But I hear that plane tickets have gotten more expensive since last year, plus IIRC there was no hotel in walking distance of the venue, which means public transport tickets would be necessary, so... yeah, probably out of reach even with the appeal of free entry. ;_; What a pity. I hope you get to see Kazuki in the upcoming years
I am happy for Kazuki, but also for me because Challenge is in driving distance and I hope not again to have traffic problems (last year I had a big issue on that score). Entrance is free, there will be a livestream probably (also free) but last year you could only look back for a short period.
Thanks you so much, and please thank your friend on our behalfI asked my friend about 14:30-20:00. They can only interview skaters after Nationals. Skaters can talk before Worlds. Kazuki was not chosen as part of the national team. Kazuki was asked how he felt about it. The 2 guys talking in the podcast thought he had a wonderful score. One guy asked if Kazuki thought he himself assumed he would be chosen as a member or not. Kazuki said he didn’t think he would be chosen at the time because he knew other skaters did well. Other skaters scores were high. The kanji he chose this year was 枠 waku which means post because he had to be chosen as any other great skater. ISU seems to consider it. Kazuki and one of the guys started talking about the next program Kazuki will do for next season. Kazuki said it is a bit early, but he is thinking about Milan’s cortina or coltina game (my friend wasn’t sure which one. I’m not sure what it is either.) Photos of the interview were taken in Osaka, but will be published in the future.
