Kazuki Tomono

Thank you for sharing, here's the cute non-no tweet + IG reel link:

The way he spoke about his injury was so reassuring - he seems calm and analytical, and it's good to know he's now OK and practising normally. May it continue
I'm also super happy he got to do a lot of sightseeing in both France and Finland! Looks like he had great fun.
I saw people on Twitter being surprised about his MBTI, but he had said before he is actually an introvert 😄 I'm also someone who looks extrovert at work but I'm really an introvert in my private life, so I can relate.

On a different note, he appeared on Fuji TV's countdown wearing a new jacket! I don't see Senshu Koki's logo any longer 😢 But the jacket looks great, and the pics are, as usual, so much fun

Machine translation:
⛸️ Men's No.23
Kazuki Tomono 🐙.
26 / Daiichi Juken Group

Tasted the frustration of finishing 6th in last season's All-Japan...
Seeking ‘change’, he switched to a choreographer who has worked with legendary skaters.

Veteran skater looking for a big turnaround...
A popular skater who can express himself ➡️ and is evolving into a true skater who can also win competitions✊.
🗣️ I only want to win!

I have the same MBTI as Kazuki 😁 He really is a deep thinker. I love the way he describes his Comme Des Garcons haul. I know brand ambassadors are usually chosen because of their physical beauty, but I find reading what Kazuki had to say about each product and the reason he bought them are way more informative and helpful than photoshoots. Hey, I guess that's why we share a MBTI!

Also of course he and Koshiro went on shopping breaks during OPOI practice 🤣 as expected from those two fashionistas.

Haha I know exactly what you mean. I lost count of the things that I thought were interesting just because Kazuki was talking about them - stuff like shoe polishing, vintage t-shirts or even sauna would not even be on my radar if it wasn't for him! I love reading about his travel adventures because his perspective of things is always so interesting. I'm myself a INFJ personality so there are some similarities.

Although, I gotta say... he kills it in the photoshoots too! Truly a complete package 😄

Speaking of selling stuff, Sauna Bros announced today their first collaboration with Kazuki: https://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000002926.000006568.html

Figure skater Kazuki Tomono and SAUNA BROS. collaborate on sauna goods! Original logo MOKU towels are now available.

The sauna magazine SAUNA BROS. published by Tokyo News Tsushinsha Co. has collaborated with figure skater Kazuki Tomono to produce the original logo MOKU towel, which went on sale on Thursday 12 December and can be purchased on the EC site SAUNA BROS.STORE.
The MOKU towel, a collaboration between figure skater Kazuki Tomono, who loves sauna, and SAUNA BROS. has finally been completed! It went on sale on 12 December 2024!

The simple but impressive ‘Tomono’ logo is a complete original, filled with Mr Tomono's attention to detail and sense of style. It was created after repeated prototyping.
The Tomono logo and SAUNA BROS. logo are embroidered on the towels. The sophisticated design allows the towel to be used by anyone, anywhere.

The package wrapped in a towel shows Tomono in a sauna poncho. This photo was taken at The Hive in Toyama Prefecture (the photo is included in SAUNA BROS.vol. 6). Also printed on the inside of the package is an off-shot of Ms Tomono, which can only be seen by those who buy it.

It looks so cute, and also, four of the five colours are already sold out 🙀 I saw fans saying that they should have given advance notice because everything 'Tomono' sells out in a flash and it's easy for people who are busy to miss these opportunities. I hope they get to restock it!

Meanwhile, fans started receiving their non-no calendars and Fleur Bazaar clear files, which also look awesome:

Thank you for sharing! These pics are so cute 🥹

Speaking of cute, Fuji TV posted a cute video of Kazuki... pretending to be a Christmas tree? 🎄😄

Yesterday he also appeared on Marin Honda's Figure Skating Dictionary, although the video is geoblocked outside Japan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb090uPtD0w

On the merchandise front, Fairy shop announced they will be selling Tomono goods at Nationals, including the ones from the Tomono Ginza Party in the summer (shirt, gloves and Happy Jazz/Die Fleurdemaus pendants)

Fairy will be also selling merch of other skaters, such as Sota, Shun and Rinka.

On that note, Sauna Bros also announced they are selling the Tomono towels again, after all the towels sold out yesterday. Although for delivery in mid-February: https://saunabros.stores.jp/items/67599c9926021607d8bd4ddc

Shoma's assessment on Kazuki, as we are approaching Japanese Nationals:

Machine Translation:

"Kazuki is an athlete you want to cheer for. Not only for his expressive ability on the ice, but also for his humanity, his friendliness and his cheerful presence that makes you smile. He is challenging himself to think about what he wants to become, and I have no doubt that his attitude of not being defensive and challenging himself will lead him to blossom in many places."

Thank you for sharing, @kwanette and @rabidline :thank:
Shoma's words were so touching! I really liked that he pointed out his willingness to not play it safe and push himself, this is one of the key reasons I stan him. The way that Shoma said 'it will blossom somewhere' makes me think he knows Kazuki has little chance of making it to the Olympic team 😢

BTW, I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is that JSF announced their selected pool of representatives, and as expected Kazuki's name is barely featured (see the JNats pre-game thread). So yeah, let's just kick back and relax, and not expect anything. This competition is more like an exhibition for Kazuki at this point.

The good news is that this does not seem to matter when it comes to him making bank 🤑💰 Remember the towels that sold out and were restocked? Sold out again. Remember the Fleur Bazaar clear file campaign? Sold out. Not to mention the sold out calendar, the curry etc The way he is insanely popular and commercially successful regardless of competition results is crazy!

Meanwhile, there was another TV segment with him on Marin's Figure Skating Dictionary:

Sauna Bros towels are now back on sale!

Cute tweet from Daiichi Juken Group:

Today's TMI Daiichi Jukken Group Kazuki Tomono Cheering Group

Just a few more days until All-Japan (self-induced nervousness)
Kazuki Tomono asked me to ‘teach the members of the cheering squad when to shout and so on’, and I said ‘Gyoi’, so I taught the members of the cheering squad about the manner in which to watch the games at the venue.

‘Figure skating is different from 🐯⚾ cheering - (see below)’

We are all looking forward to cheering together this week, checking out what to bring and what to wear for our first time watching figure skating!

Kazuki's latest Mainichi article has been published in this morning's newspaper, alongside a GPF report:

Also, we have something to look forward to today:
Kazuki Tomono's series ‘#Tomono's Monogatari.’
The latest status report just before the annual All-Japan Championships will be published tomorrow, 17 December at around 5:15pm ⌛ He told us about his enthusiasm for his 12th All-Japan and his recent training situation. Please look forward to the publication!

Meanwhile, his Fuji TV profile has been updated to include a picture of salmon soup: https://www.fujitv.co.jp/sports/skate/figure/skater/KazukiTOMONO.html

In Finland, where I longed to be.
I had a salmon soup.
It was so delicious.
I'll never forget it.
Finnish cuisine.
If you are a Finnish food specialist and have a recipe
Please share your recipes with me!
I would like to become your apprentice!
I'd like to learn from you!

Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate both him and non-no taking time to produce this update. It's reassuring to know he's doing well and has been able to practice 🙏
I was also shocked to know that he was ill for about a month after last year's nationals! It puts in perspective the sheer effort of going from sickness to Kokutai, to Kassouya (which we know demanded a lot from him, physically and mentally), then Challenge Cup. No wonder he wasn't at his best at Challenge Cup (but also he was robbed lol).

On a different note, Haruya Sasaki has been posting some interesting analysis about the JNats top skaters, here's Kazuki's video:

He speaks super fast but it's possible to understand with the auto-translation function on YouTube

Colantotte send support to their skaters:

Shoma's favorite athlete and favorite program at JNats is none other than Kazuki and "Tshegue" (Kazuki's SP) and he wishes Kazuki well in his Men's preview for ESSE Magazine.

PS. His other favorite is Koshiro but for that he fully admits he's biased for that one 😁

My favorite athlete is Kazuki Tomono, whom I hope will do his best. We have been together for a long time since our junior days, and Kazuki is a good friend of mine, so I can say this, but he is on the edge, on the verge of going or not, or something like that. I also see him going through a lot of trial and error as he struggles.

Of course, all skaters are the same, and three young skaters (Yuma Kagiyama, Shun Sato, and Kao Miura) have great momentum, but as a fellow skater, I would like to see Kazuki, Sota Yamamoto, and Koshiro Shimada do their best.

--Do you have a favorite program this season?

Kazuki Tomono's short program “Tshegue” really shows off his talent, and his costumes are great. I want to see what only Kazuki can do, so I think it is my favorite program of this season. Nowadays, people tend to focus on jumps, but programs like that make me happy.

Everyone has their own individuality, but they all try various programs every year, in order not to be all the same, and to develop themselves more. I also had such a program. At first I thought it might be impossible, but at the end of the season, it turned out to be a very good program.
