According to fanmeeting, Shae once thought about recycling West-side Story for him but he refused. then they started to listen and chose music from a list with about 15 songs at the rink.The first time Kazuki heard this(not meaning he hasn't heard of this song) he was like "Yes! That's it!".

This is interesting. It seems that Kazuki will be participating in the anniversary event of Tokyo Tatsumi Arena. The thing is, the anniversary is on 6 September, which clashes with the Kinoshita Trophy - does that mean that Kazuki is skipping Kinoshita, maybe that's why he's doing Asia Open instead? The other alternative is that maybe the anniversary event will be on a different date
