Thank you for explaining, I saw some tweets in Japanese and was very confused about it. It seems like it was an unfortunate coincidence that ended up having bigger proportions, and it's probably good learning lesson for Kazuki as he tries to expand the festival and host more skaters.

As for fans, sadly there is always going to be fans who act entitled, regardless of fandom. It was good that the event org could accommodate this time, and doing via lottery seems what's most fair considering the demand. But I also hope that some people understand that it's not the event's responsibility to change their schedule just because of one skater - they were kind enough to adjust now, but there's no guarantee that it will happen in the future.

I also think, Sota's new management dropped the ball IMO because they could have picked up on this conflict of schedule and ensured this was avoided before it affected the fans. So hopefully a learning curve for them, too.

I don't think there should be anything to do with the Naniwa Festival and sota's management company. As Kazuki said, it's just a small-scale homerink event. So i think it's a lesson for staff too. It's a common problem for some small Ice shows.

Yes, it's a lesson for everyone. But personally, I would think it's the ultimate responsibility of the management company to look at the athlete's schedule and flag up potential scheduling conflicts and situations that could affect fans/reputation - they are hired to do this sort of mental load so the athlete doesn't have to.

As for the event staff, they already have a lot on their hands and it's not their responsibility to know what's going outside of their event. I feel in this case, they were gracious enough to change it, but if they refused to do so, they'd be in their right.

To be honest i think they shouldn't react anything from the very beginning🙁Of course staff was very considerate to do this but......
If it helps, I think a lot of people agree with you. At least from what've seen, most of the tweets were along the lines of 'fandom complaints should stay in the fandom' and 'we should be grateful to the organisers to hold this event in the first place'. There was also an interesting one from someone talking about their experience working in customer service and how it's a really difficult job and it's basically impossible to please everyone.

I must commend Kazuki and Sota for dealing with the situation with levity, hopefully the fandom is calmer now

Anyway, I wonder which program Kazuki will skate on Naniwa Festival two. Since we have a whole season to see queen and Kazuki always brings surprise to everyone so i hope it will be a former program.
That's a good point. I think he'll perform 'It's a Beautiful Day' but it would be interesting to see another former programme!

In other news, Mainichi posted a wonderful gallery of pictures from the training camp:

The good side of it, is that it's a new clue that Kazuki Tomono's and Sota Yamamoto's fandoms have become bigger. Impossible to please everybody, in general means that everybody is a lot!
