Klimkin??

I read somewhere that Ilia Klimkin won't compete at all this season. Does anyone know more, about whether this is true or not?

According to a poster on FSU who spoke with Klimkin on a show in Germany this past weekend, he will undergo surgery after the coming shows in St. Petersburg (I think the problem is his ankle, don't quote me on that). That would keep him out of competition for several months and therefore making him miss the whole season.

He is still listed for Cup of Russia, though, but I don't see why Ilia would tell all this to someone if those werent his plans.

Maybe the Federation hopes that Ilia might recover in time to skate in CoR.

There is an interview on FSU of Kudriatsev (Ilia's coach) and he says that Ilia would miss hallf the season minimum because of his injury in the achilles tendon and he will get surgery for that.

Soooo Saaaad. This guy is so unique in skating style. Every step he takes reeks with body language. So many young skaters just mimic dance moves but he actually feels them.
