Opening chor to the deep chords / and the piano melody starts / 3z2t2l / huge 3z with a delay 2t / popped flip / butterfly camel to donut / spirals nice stretch and flow / 3f turns 2t - pushed through the landing on flip / combo spin / big 2z / 3t fell / 1a / I'm enjoying this in one way but just looked at the clock 30 seconds ago and couldn't believe there was still a minute left in the program / strt steps flow powerfully with the music using whole body /combo spin to end /

That's it! Top 10 for Joannie. Good for her to move up after such a disaster in the short. If she wasn't marked so harshly in the short she would have had top 8

At this point in the competition Joannie leads in the FS and sits in 3. With 7 skaters left, she will make her goal of top 10 and Canada will still get 2 spots for 2008 Worlds, I believe.

Not perfect by any means but well skated and well done from the first skating position in the 2nd warmup group!

I know!! It's great that she's going to do so well after the SP debacle. I'm so proud of her!!

Boy, are you fast Rosaleen!! Listening to it on audio, it's barely over and you've got your post up. Amazing! A big  for you too!

It doesn't matter since it happened to her so many times before. Her free skate was far from clean either. She was in the lead since most other skaters faltered in free skate, not because Joannie skated brilliantly.

Joannie really needs a major coach change.

Music: Cinderella by Prokofiev / light peach with longer chiffon skirt
3a rotated but fell / 3z2t not entirely sure it was a triple - the wrap tends to throw off my eye / combo spin is nice / 3f / yes the z was a 3 / 3s / some chors to the fast flowing music and a lovely flycam / 3f2t / major problems on the landing of the death drop but she managed to hand on and do a spin in sit pos even though it traveled badly / 3s2t2l / combo spin is long / now we have a tick tock and her head goes back & forth with it / O ftwrk and the music is bouncy for the 1st half and smooth for 2nd and she interprets it well / spirals / 2a landed on chord of music and right into closing pose /

Axel was downgraded - that really surprises me - I didn't watch it in replay but live it looked rotated to me - I might not have been at a good angle

On checking the Eurosport site, I see we're not going to get video. They specifically say 'live audio coverage'. Oh well, better than nothing.

Who are those British commentators? Even the audio is better then our (US) coverage. They really know their stuff. (Code of points etc.) But no unnecessary catty comments or silly observations. Please please bring them to America!

The commentators on Eurosport looked at the replay and said it definitely wasn't close to full rotation and with the deduction and downgrade, she ended up with a far lower mark than if she had just done a double.

Couldn't have been that bad a skate. It's still the best freeskate of the night after 18 skaters. (Not that I particularly disagree with you about the coaching. )

Exactly. Peggy & Dick are just annoying, boring, and distracting.
Italian geisha! fell on the first combo. second jump 2L instead of a triple. Three triples!

Kostner's medal is likely gone.

Neat bit of opening moves to music / flying down the ice / 3f fell - had it then seemed to catch rut or something and went down - not sure if rot / 2z could see going in that it wouldn't happen / 3l / stars to butterly back came that has lovely extension to donut - slow though / music is smooth now and some chor at centre ice / 3f 2ft fell out / 3l free foot brushed into 1l / flysit spin that I didn't see / sustained camel with arms behind back starts a lovely combo spin / spiral with coe on good edges and excellent flow / 3s / 2a / into O ftwrk that interprets the music beautifully / combo spin with good pos but somewhat slow /
