LADIES LONG PROGRAM Thread

YEAH ASHLEY! But c'mon everyone; don't jinx them by saying we're a shoe-in for great results at Worlds, lol. Look where that got us the last two Worlds. :p

I have no doubt Ashley is going to pull her weight at Worlds this year for the US team. Hopefully Alissa will also.

Caroline:
HOLY SMOKES! her skate just said, "what altitude?" both programs were better than nationals...and yes, she need to improve on her speed, BUT what a comeback!
Really refreshing to see that lots of hard work and commitment will pay dividends. A strong belief in herself, the right coaches, AND a love for the sport have put Caroline back in the picture! 2014 is very much in the cards if she continues.
Ashley:
Great to see her back up her nationals performance. coming to 4CC was good for her as it helps her establish international credibility before worlds...
What a showing by these two American ladies!
also, I love that it's these two ladies that are showing us that the ladies competition can be full of REAL jumping passes without being a splatfest...even in altitude!

Only 3 jumps, but they were MONSTERS. Still, another learning experience for Agnes, she skated like the Canadian gals here, *not* the American women.

Better luck next time... :)

Agnes simply does not 'do it' for me the way Ashley and Caroline do, but that was a solid skate and I am looking forward to seeing her develop next year.

YEAH! The two girls I was rooting for just KILLED it. That totally makes up for three hours of dismal skating beforehand!
YES! Agnes was magnificent. Yeah, there were mistakes, but she stayed vertical and rode the music, and fed off the audience (which loved her). She's going to be a great champion soon!

Caroline:

I think Caroline may have the eye of the tiger that we have all been hoping would show up in an American lady. She seems ready to take on anyone without flinching. I will keep my fingers crossed for even better results next season.

Ashley has the momentum, the belief and the support of the judges. As long as Alissa can reasonably hold it together (and I think she will), the US should get its 3rd spot back. I'm calling it now! Jinxing it and all!
