Except for salchow and step out from lutz, it was very well done, soft, lyrical, smooth, good spins and spirals, but for me she isn't the skater of the same caliber as Carolina, and today Carolina skated well.

Had really iffy landings on most of the jump, either df or ur or just very tight. Still, given the troubles she has been through this year, it's a very good job.

I´m very happy that a Finnish skater got a bronze medal, but very surprised about her technical scores. They looked rather high, in my opinion.

I think the R is Eureopean derived - they don't call the Loop 'loop' but something beginning with an R (probably someone's last name that I can't remember).

Anyway, hope you don't hear this as picking on you because I'm not (and i do love reading your posts) - but I really appreciate all of the reports and kind of think we the readers should be thankful and just ask for clarification when we need it instead of asking someone who is already giving up time/energy to give up more by changing their style. just my two cents

that's the international designation. Anna is using ISU abbriviations.

Actually I've seen many other posters use the same abbreviation for the loop.

Yeah, it's the Rittberger (the actual inventor of the jump). I'm just glad we don't use what the brits use to call the flip... toe salchow =P imagine her listing...

Even though Loop is widely used i think using the R for Rittberger makes better sense as L is used for Lutz anyway.

Its very nice of Anna to give detailed reports.

The costume has to go, though. I'm not sure what the hell fluorescent pink has to do with Japan. Same design in other color would work much better.
