Ladies LP

so Alissa is garenteed a medal? Wow. Seems like the U.S ladies have been playing musical chairs. nobody is emerging as the "leading lady."

what is happening to the US ladies? I have not seen anything impressive by any one of them. Seems like we don't deserve 3 spots at worlds after all.

Several of them are only 15 and 16 years old. Their bodies are changing, they don't have much experience on the senior level, and there's a lot of pressure. Ladies who make perfect transitions from Junior level skating to Senior level skating like Mao Asada did are one in a million. I've always thought the hype of Caroline, Mirai, and Rachael was just way too much. But most importantly, it's still the first month of the season and not many skaters look great right now.

Introverted maby be, but Caroline always seemed fearless on the ice. I just don't see that in her eyes right now. Too nervous??? I miss the feisty Caroline

I don't think she's ever had a "vibe". She's always been an introverted type of skater. Her spins, flexibility, and prettiness are what have sold her in the past.

Fumie is really pleased with her performance.
So great to see:love:
Just realized Alissa medals:bow:
Suguri into 1st.

Joannie Rochette:
roar from the crowd.

3t-3s, turnout on the landing
She's already won this.
2a-2a? IN froze
3s? In froze again

clean skate from Joannie. But I prefer Don Juan. Huge standing O

Caroline Zhang

Caroline Zhang has so many uggly techniques. she's not going any far with that.

As Dick Button commented about her flip before, and it's still the same.

She is not anywhere closed to Michelle Kwan, When Michelle was 15 year old.

Too bad we've been waiting some transformation from her, but nothing there...

WOW! Superb, Joannie!
If someone tells me that there is only Yuna and Mao out there, he/she better watches out for Joannie.

And to top it off, Caroline's 3F technique was more exaggerated than last years. The only maybe good thing is she did her 3S and she had just enough presence to add a 2t to it. There are very few positives about that performance.

nice job for Joannie. The music is great for her.
I wasn't loving her version of Summertime, didn't really sound like the song I know and love.

DAMN! I figured she'd win easily but that's a massive score. The crowd really lifted her up. let's see if she can duplicate that away from home.
