this is going to be a terrible ladies year and all for kostner to take, even granny sebestyen is almost last to skate and mccorkell is in the final group. ill be surprise if more than one person goes more than 55 points here.

I agree it's not exactly the best field we'll see this year or that it stacks up well to past Euros. But I wouldn't be surprised if other than Kostner at least one Finnish lady will go over 55.

Jenna McCorkell skated well at last year's EC; why shouldn't she be in the final group? She's earned it.

Heh, I liked what I saw from the Austrian girl. Granted, I only saw the last minute, but she was musical, relatively flexible for a European skater.

A European Lady (from Denmark) with a decent layback - well, stranger things have happened - but not much stranger. She also tried 3Lz, but it didn't go well. And a decent spiral! That girl must train in North America!

Hmm, nobody here. Then I will immigrate to the French Forum for this one...

Well this is really turning into maybe the best European Championships the British have ever had.

With the last four groups to skate are second lady Karly Robertson will definitely make the cut to skate the LP (when the last time was that a second British lady made the cut for the LP I have no idea- maybe never?)

Ant

Francesca Rio- i liked her style, musical, fell on combo, did the 2-axel and 3 sal fine, good spins and footwork

Ant, don't jinx your skater! Since 17 ladies won't make it, Karly Robertson needs 17 skaters to finish with a lower score than hers; currently there are 16, and these are now mostly stronger skaters. I imagine at least one of them will screw up anyway, but let's wait and see...

Based on what I can see in the schedule on WebTV/RuTelevision, which carries RTR, Europeans are going to be cut off for something else at 8:10 AM Eastern Time, what I don't know since I don't read Russian, but I can tell that RTR be cutting it off at 8:10 AM Eastern Time, and most of the Free Dance will be cut off as well, joined In Progress at 1:20 PM Eastern Time.

Jenna Syken withdrew, so there's now only 40 ladies in the competition, and only 16 who won't make it. Robertson's in, and so's Kerstin Frank, who's right below her

Simova seems happy- 3 flip was good, 3 sal-2t combo, skating to Chicago, lots of energy, 43.24- 2nd

Dyrt - 3 flip 2t combo, clean, 3 sal not quite a fall but -2 I'd say, not great spiral sequence but lots of speed, 2 axel- messy, 2 ft?, seems happy enough, nice smile as she takes a bow

44.06 - 3rd

movchan- all black, trousers/ white gloves
2 ltz? no a triple 2t combo, 3 sal nice, spreadeagle into 2 axel and all the jumps done in 30 secs..
spiral- not very flexible but nice variation
no smiles from her but she should be happy
46.48, season best and 1st

I loved that Ukrainian girl! A bit unpolished perhaps, but she had spunk, power, creative elements...

dgel - I am quite sure it was a Triple Lutz

Yes clear on replay- it just seemed almost too easy- good for her
