good skate for her. lots of cheering from the canadian homecrowd.
jumps were all strong, skated VERY close to the boards during her spiral, geez.

can't compare to yuna though. she will get 2nd i'm sure.

I kept saying that showing up here was not a good idea for Mao after Nationals and all the shows she had...

ITA. Mao should be granted a special favor to skip the Nationals like Yuna.

Most surprising thing is how low Asada is. Behind Zhang, now I never would have thought. That's the only thing stopping me from saying the US is completely toast. Even then, that obviously won't hold to the end. otherwise, very predictable. and boooooring.

Heh, I predicted that Asada will be off the podium. Then again, I also predicted Flatt on the podium. Well, nobody is perfect.

Kim was great. I don't like Asada's short program to begin with. Not a big fan of Rochette either (though I predicted her to be the winner...). Suguri was solid, but there is no spark.

All in all, why are the ladies so boring? Really, I often switch off the music and do something else after they are done with the jumps.
