Ladies SP

I'm in the US, and I would like to retain at least 2 spots next year, but sheesh, Rachel and Alyssa's scores were shockingly high. There must not be a single judge from Japan on the panel (or in the house!). Not only did Alyssa fall twice, but the second fall was a FALL, not an "opps" but a SPLATT. Yeah, I know, same deduction, but it should have deducted from the overall score. (flow of the program).
Thank you. i agree. Even Cynthia was abit high but not to that degree. Love Cynthia and Alissa's skating quality though.

I don't see the problem with Rachael's placement. She usually gets high levels and I assume she did here too. Fumie would have been ahead of her if not for the time deduction and rightfully so. But I do not see that much difference to be claiming that Fumie was robbed.

Can I say again how wonderful it is not to hear Scott and Sandra!!!!
Did NBC read these boards???

Well, after we Europeans could read "pelvic-thrusting idiot without any skating skills whatsoever and who only got good scores because he charmed all the women on the panel" about Joubert for about 30 pages in the Men's SP-thread - I think we have the right to be a bit negative.

It's not any different than all the stuff that has been said about Patrick Chan this season.

Then Fumie has been robbed forever.
What GP has to do with Worlds?

You asked when Rachael Flatt was nailed in the past before by Russian judges, considering she's new to the scene. I said Grand Prix events when she competed as a senior.

Honestly, home advantage is as much of a part of figure skating as ice. If you can't deal with hearing people complain about it concerning about your own country, I don't expect to hear anything from you about other countries.

And the reason for that? What is the Russian interest in underscoring Flatt was? Give me more details. You clearly know all behind the curtain happenings.

The US ladies are not in danger of losing a 2nd spot for next year -- for that to happen, Rachael would more or less have to miss the top 12, or else Alissa miss the FS altogether, and neither scenario would be likely, whether marks are "boosted" or not

Well, I am European, but did not like SP men scoring, and I cannot see why I could not express that. And actually I do understand your negativity right now too ;)

Okay, I could theoretically go through all my posts - but I have never said anything this offensive about Chan. The worst I said is that he is axelless (which he was from time to time), and after the infamous interview I called him a brat. I also don't remember reading anything bad about his skating, except that some people consider it to be boring / flat.

Oh, I wish Mao was wearing that dark blue dress from FCC. This lavender one puts (like so many of her other dresses) an odd emphasis on her bust.
