Saw this on tumblr, she's obviously talking about international scores and base value is a little higher now than in Sochi but still, it's a fantastic score and they should be incredibly proud to close out this short dance with such a great score.

"Congratulations to Madison Chock and Evan Bates on setting a new US record (79.05) in the short dance at World Team Trophy 2017. The previous record was held by Meryl Davis and Charlie White (78.89) and set at the Sochi Olympics."

Yes!!! About time!!! These two, in my opinion, has the hottest chemistry on the ice dance floor right now among all the couples. The way they lock their eyes on each other, their close bodies 'in hold' position and the aligning of their shoulders. I dislike the 'fake' touching of faces among some couples when you know there is zero 'male/female' sensual tension. Maddie & Evan when they look at each other, you know as an audience, it is genuine.

Their hot chemistry is best revealed in a dance like Tango, Argentine Tango, of course, Rhumba and you can even see it in a Foxtrot/Waltz. Foxtrot/Waltz done properly is extremely romantic, soft and flowy. These classic dances will show up those couples that don't have a connection with each other.

I just can't wait to see this Tango!! Someone please upload it once available, Thanks!!
 
Oh! By the way, a big congrats to Maddie & Evan for winning that SD yesterday at WTT - 79+ marks, yay!!!!!

I want them to win the FD! Hopefully, by winning both the SD and the FD will give them some consolation for the season and move on to next year's programs with great positivity. While other teams look a bit tired, I thought they looked fresh and sharp as usual. Well done!!

Thank you for the link! Wow wow wow!! Talk about heat, sensuality & passion!! If that is done on the ice, the ice will melt!!!!

That is an Argentine Tango done by pros, Argentine Tango has all the lifts, flick kicks, knee paddling and danced nose to nose. Now you have got me excited. Just can't wait. Perhaps Evan can wax his hair flat and make it all swept back. Maddie of course has got all the angst and her beautiful sultry eyes for the Tango.

Thank you again for updating the rest of us fans with the latest about Maddie & Evan. Just can't wait!
 
What's with Evan Bates this season? :scratch2: I think, the guy is in love .... :palmf: (Of course, I'm just joking) and unable to control his nerves (kidding aside, his mistakes, I think, come from overthinking). I hope the next season will be different.
 
That shoulder work out looks painful! And she does it at the END of her workout. Impressive!

Madison and Evan have retained their #1 ISU world ranking heading into the new season. All rankings have been updated and can be found here:

Those Challenger events they've done the last two seasons made the difference after very disappointing results at Worlds and the GPF this past season. Those two events were the only events they didn't medal at over the past three seasons, although only the last two seasons count for the rankings.

I've heard good things about C/B's new show program but haven't run across any fancams of it yet. Someone was kind enough to post a photo from the Hershey SOI, though. You have to navigate to the fourth pic on the post.
