Well, that was SO ADORABLE! Thank you. I don't speak Japanese, so other than translating their English answers, what else was said in Japanese? It seems like Maia and Alex understand at least some Japanese. Alex looked very surprised at Maia's Japanese at the end.I guess matmuh was talking about the one right after they win, so it would be here at 47:19

but I was surprised they knew and understood some parts! The Japanese crowd surely appreciated that, but I thought Maia was reading it? I think she had her head bent down as she spoke

Is it shameful that I can't decide which to get more excited about - seeing the Shibs potentially win the GP final or their latest their Vlog from NHK Trophy?

I was wondering if any of our Russian speakers would be so kind to paraphrase what Tarasova said during the Shibs' NHK SD and FD. I would love to hear what she had to say about them.
In the Canadian television broadcast of Skate Canada the commentators gave credit to Maia and Alex for the exceptional work they do for foundations and charitable organizations.
They seem very dedicated to their commitments and their appeal and profile is impressive. Almost always in the company of some of the most accomplished athletes from different sports.
They even attended a fundraiser to support Right to Play in the middle of their Grand Prix season.

In my opinion, through the combination of their vlogs which they put so much effort into for the enjoyment of fans, and the dedication they have in supporting worthy causes, they truly "walk the walk" of champion athletes. Ambassadors for their sport that can make people feel proud. Beyond their skating, it is this complete package of who they are on and off the ice that makes me admire them so much.

I feel badly for the skater who has to wear Domo's costume. That can't be easy to move in and I bet all that felt is heavy and hot. I hope he or she gets paid a lot for doing that although they get to say they skated with Yuzu!

Shibs won. This is impressive since so far Max Aaron did not win, Jason Brown did not win, Team USA at WTT did not win, and I think even Chock and Bates have been nominated and not won. So good for the Shibs!

That was my favorite part too. When they panned the audience I was like "who was madly waving at them?" I am glad they showed us it was Nobu!
I am hoping that they pull ahead for an upset win at Barcelona!
