So proud of Maia and Alex, representing figure skating and Winter Olympians at the Sullivan Awards. Finalists, such an honor. Their profile including all the unparalleled public service, diplomacy and advocacy work they have done, representing the sport remains so under appreciated in my opinion. You just don't see other athletes making such a sincere and consistent commitment, using their role as champions in such positive ways.

Outfitted gloriously from head to toe by Ralph Lauren, Elton John party, VANITY FAIR after party! Maia especially looks stunning!

Maia Shibutani took part in the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit and on the main panel event at the 54:00 mark, Maia confirms she's going for 2022. I am assuming Alex is as well,

The Shibutanis are my favourite American dance team, so I'm glad that they're at least presently planning to continue.

Though this also increases my sense that the huge talent logjam in US ice dance is going to reach a crisis point over the next couple of years, between the three duos who went to the 2018 Olympics, Hawayek/Baker, the Parsons siblings, Carreira/Ponomarenko, etc.

And McNamara/Carpenter (they had slightly better success in their first season as seniors than Parsons - mostly because of Michaels mistakes on twizzles). Yes, I am not American, but I will be sad to see any of them split/finish their competitive career prematurely. It was just a few seasons ago when Pogrebinsky/Benout seemed like such a promising team for the future, but now they are no more. I would like to see all of the currently remaining promising US teams mature and grow in their skating, expression and style etc.. So curious to see what they can do, if any of them will be able to break into the US top three before one of the current top teams retire, or if they will be able to hold their position in that top in the case of Hawayek/Baker etc..

Sorry for the off-topic. In any case, I am also glad that the Shibs plan to continue. I would like to see them try something different when it comes to their FDs and curious to see what could it be.

Shibsibs are one of the people who got me really into Figure Skating and I was so proud of all of their achievements this past year. I can't believe another season is starting without them this year! But that's okay, they're achieving so much more out there beyond the rink, and I am happy just to know that they are going to comeback later. Can't wait to see more of their artistry in the future <3

this is late, but wew I met the Shibs earlier this week and they're so genuine and friendly that every time I think about it, it makes me smile because y'all, they're truly amazing people

just a couple of short (40+s) clips of them just chilling on the ice, I wanted to take longer videos but my phone was dying

This is the ice rink in Singapore! (we only have 2 ice rinks in the entire country so yay they found the nicer one)
And yeah they're really down to earth, halfway through talking to them I kind of clean forgot that we were chatting to Olympic bronze medallists...
