Mariah Bell | Page 21 | Golden Skate

Mariah Bell

Holy cow, that was outstanding! I love her music choices for both programs, but I particularly love this free program, and to see her skate it so cleanly and excellently was a great pleasure! And then to top it off, she jumped for joy. :hap85: That was the highlight of NHK for me. Between seeing her live at Skate Canada and watching her on my phone at NHK the past two nights, she has made a new fan! :hap10:

Congratulations to Mariah on her showing in Japan :) I hope she nails both programmes next time. She could even be the US champion :)

I just think she was born this way ... ya know...sugar and spice and all things nice ;)

That's awesome! I love that EX. It was my favorite at Skate Canada, partly because the audience joined in: https://youtu.be/04IiCRbI800?t=123

I have not seen that, but that's great! I'm amazed that she kept up at a public school. Don't most skaters have tutors? I know that Sasha Cohen said that when she retired from skating and went to college, she was way behind the other students. My hats off to Mariah; my family always took winter vacations to visit relatives, and I remember how much work it was to catch back up again. I don't know how I would have done that while spending most of my free time training hard at something.

I'm so happy for Mariah, she deserved to have that amazing FS. There are lots of qualities to her skating and I'm glad that this season she is able to show them.

Rooting for her at Nationals, wish to see her at Worlds, and hoping she has a wonderful season.

I am a new fan too, though not new to her skating! Her skating is the highlight of the year for me!

This is my 1st time seeing her compete and I loved her! She is a beautiful skater and is so sweet too! I liked both of her programs, especially the Free. Seeing her so happy after her great free was a joy! She is my fave American skater. I wish her the best and hope she does great! :hap10:

Congrats Mariah on the bronze medal. Hopefully she'll clean up her 3-3 in the short and add a 3-3 or two in the long. I think she's definitely on the right path to an eventual Nationals title. She said she has a 4-year plan so she's setting her eyes on 2022 Beijing.

She's really performing so well this season, i am so proud of her  #MARIAHFORNATIONALCHAMPION

Congratulations to Mariah, I missed seeing her on a podium (She is a beautiful skater)

PS: I wonder why she was alone in the kiss and cry :scratch2: well, she looks happy despite anything :hap10:

Yeah, that's not right. She should have a coach there to support her. I saw Daria Panenkova sitting alone in a K&C this season, too. I get that neither Daria nor Mariah are able to challenge the very top skaters this season, but they are still proudly showing off the work they've done with their coaches. There should always be someone there with the skaters when the scores are announced, even if it's just an assistant spin coach or something.

I hope Mariah does well at Nationals; I could definitely get behind her as my national champ, and I think that next year, we'll see her on the podium in the Grand Prix series. She came close this season, and she's only going to get better the longer she works with Raf.

"Bradie Tennell and Mariah Bell shared the podium in the ladies competition with strong performances ahead of the 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January. (...) Bell was in fourth place after the short program, but delivered a stellar free skate with only one negative Grade of Execution to win the bronze medal with 196.60 points". https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...m-usa-claims-seven-medals-at-golden-spin.aspx

"a stellar free skate" :hap10:

Someone needs to create a whole page for Mariah and Romain. They are the cutest and most underrated couple in skating.
