She is totally new to me and I wonder why she has not been singled out for a thread in the edge. She is very fast and many good things about her skating. I hope she does well. It seems that we have very few ladies who can challenge and when they skate great like Mariah did in Canada she gets grossly underscored. Well Megan is twenty so I wonder how she is just arriving on the senior scene now at a GP event. I feel bad for us fans in the USA. No Ashley no Mirai probably no Gracie.
Where is Karen Chen? Starr Andrews is ok but she was put above Mariah in the sp at SC. I’m not sure why. The scoring is always hard to understand and I don’t think we will ever see sskating come back in North America at least not ladies. Really if not for Nathan Chen what have we got this season?
I thought Megan to be fast, elegant, a good jumper and I don’t follow juniors unless someone like Trusova is discusssed everywhere because she is a jumping phenom. if Megan did well on the Junior Circuit I never heard about it.
Just as bleak is Canada for me without Katelyn and Gabby. Really Japan and Russia are keeping singles going. I feel left out. I really miss Ashley and wanted to see her compete her Lalaland for a whole season. It does seem we have lost many viewers after the last Olympics if you look at th numbers here at GS.
It’s really sad. I think many have simply lost interest in skating after so many are retired or skipping this year which really usually means retirements. I feel like when Michelle and Sasha left and we had Emily Hughes who was good but not to get excited about.
Starr is ok but not a future star. Gracie Gold was the last American we could get really excited about and it was a bumpy ride.
Yes I like non Americans but I’m old enough to remember when we were always in the mix esp in singles. Sigh. It’s raining and NBC is repeating what they broadcast last weekend.
Yes there is Bradie I actually forgot. They didn’t score her well. Maori is sloppy yet podiums all the time so really. How excited should we Americans get?
