There's now a pic up of her practicing on LI on Sat. (while stuck due to weather) - she looks out of shape. I don't think she'll do that well this year - the field is too deep. Maybe it's just a bad photo (like Buttle's), lol.

Kimmie landed a very iffy 3A two years ago and hasn't landed one since, except for practice and warm-ups. Doesn't mean a thing if she doesn't land them in competition.

I'm not disagreeing with what you've said, but I don't think anyone was saying that Kimmie's 3axel is a sure thing just because she lands it in practice. At leat in my post, I was simply pointing out that Kimmie has landed fully rotated 3 axels because someone (*cough*iloveaxel*cough*) said that Kimmie has never ever landed a clean 3 axel, when we have seen that she is capable of it. No, she has not perfectly nailed the jump in competition, but that doesn't mean she can't do it.

Yeah, but reports are that Michelle Kwan has landed the triple axel in practice before. Sasha Cohen landed a quad in practice before!!!! There's a difference between landing something once in a while, and landing it consistently in competition (or even consistently in practice.) I suspect that if Kimmie was landing the triple axel consistently in practice, she would be going for it in thecompetition...But that's just me. Just like Mao Asada goes for it every time in competition.
