Memorable 2025-26 JGP performances of developing skaters

I was in Gdańsk just a week ago this year and Luka Imedashvili from Lithuania absolutely stole my heart:

Sure, his programs were not the most complex, BUT his presentation was so on point! His short program put a big smile on my face and I was most excited for him in freeskate. And he did not disapoint! I tend to get jump-blind when I watch skating live, so I awarded him an unofficial gold in my heart. And I will keep an eye on him as he develops. I have a feeling he might be the next Kazuki Tomono type of skater.

A shout out to Rachel Samiri who skated her SP in the JGP at Abu Dhabi yesterday, earning that spot after a great showing at Robert Cousins in GBR earlier this season. She is young (14 I think); skipped Intermediates going straight to Juniors beginning this year. She has energy to spare, great quality spins and a lovely 2A. Looking forward to her FS today, which was a strong performance in GBR where despite 2 falls she earned second place. Thing is, she has energetic attack, is fast and flexible with multiple transitions all of which imv may be smoothed out and streamlined over time.
Her coach asked her to wear black in the SP because she feels it makes the skating shine.
I love the dress but her attire in the FS makes up for it plus I adore her FS music

And finally...
This young lady made me edit the thread title. She didn't have a 2A but you could easily forget about it while watching because she proved that she was a born performer.
Enjoy the Arabian dance in Abu Dhabi by Sara Bin Karam, 14 y.o., represented U.A.E.:

I really like Grace & Luke Fischer in ice dance. Their first ISU junior skate was in Gdansk. They are 14 and 16 and are just up out of novices.

They finished 3rd in the FD

Their cherry on top, as with many sibling teams, is unison & precision & crispness- but then there is that amazing extended choreo Hydro blade :)

Also I like they use their arms really really well compared to most very young teams.

Loved them!

I am a slow watcher, and just halfway through JGP Ankara at this point. For me, Greece's Sofia Lamprinou was a delight to watch. She has everything but the harder jumps (I haven't seen the FS yet, so not sure if she actually has triples or not). Gorgeous spins and step sequence. I'm normally bored by R&J music, but Sofia kept my attention throughout.
Shoutout also to Chilly Ann Wongso from Indonesia, for her out-of-the box SP. We don't get Bali-inspired costumes and music very often, so too bad there aren't points for originality.
