Men SP

Yay Kevin! It wasn't perfect, but a good start for a kid at his first GP. It's great that he looked happy at the end of his program. And Yay for Patrick, too. He landed the axel!!

Alan Preaubert
The Addams Family (soundtrack) by Mark Shaiman
(totally get the costume now)

Her coach used to scare me when she trained Dambier but with Preaubert she looks like a mom taking care of her son.
Russian guy mentions Dracula...ok

3f-3t
3ax
Flying sit spin, change of edges
Footwork into 3z (a little rought on the landing)
Circular footwork, fast a lot of change, it's a very "Preaubert" program.
sit spin-sit spin, lot of changes
Straightline footwork
He lost speed in his final combo but defintely will go 1st

He needs a haircut, really and a shave.

You just know when he will be more confortable in this, he will be more "showy" but still very good.

Big hug from his coach.

I bet the judges still give him a first place score though.

Oh not at all, I adore Daisuke and saw his practice clip and it was amazing.

I think his new SP is quite 'risky', since it all relies on the mood. If there are some problems with the opening jumps, it could be quite hard for him to skate all those insane step sequences and the overall passion of the program without, um, lightness of mind... -__-'
Well, now I've become nervous. :)

>>"Could someone wake up TT? He looks half sleep! I hope she's not broadcasting this from Russian, in which case I would undestand her being sleepy!"

No, she is broadcasting from the International Space Station (Russian section). =P Of course, she is "half sleep" - it's 6 AM there right now. )

Stephen CARRIERE
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

Why would people skate to Zepelin? I love skating and I love Zepelin, but I don't love them together.

Don't like the costume at all. Greenish top with black pants with a huge red impression in one leg.

Circular footwork to start, very soft, reminded me of Savoie... I miss Matt.
3ax, forced landing but clean
3f-2t (is it the music or someone screamed quite loudly!)
very basic sit spin-sit spin, no change of edge or position
footwork into 3z
sit spin again, again most simple sit spin, thought fast.
straight line, basic, mostly oon two feet.
Ok last spin was good.

Really really, this better not beat Lutai, really!

Why would people boo? He totally deserved 4th place!

The King of Black... I mean Evan Lysacek
Mask of Zorro
Starts with a hand on his head.
4t fall
3a clean
footwork into 3z good!
Sit spin
Straightline footwork, it's almost the same he did for Spania Cani, he has an almost tripped, you won't notice if you don't look for it,
Nice spins, but he is a little slow on them.
Circular footowrk, looks difficult, a ot of kicks in the air.
Combo spin to end
But it does seem that fall affected the overall performance.
Well he does not look happy, but hey good for trying that quad!
3toys in the ice one next to other but only picks up two :p
Frank looks supportive Evan not so happy.

Takahashi could probably make a big mistake and still be 1st. Funny how the 2 guys who didnt do clean programs are 1-2 now.

Lysacek just barely over Chan who is just barely over Preaubert. Wow this is a close contest. Looks like Lysacek was lucky with the judges giving it to him on the PCS scores.

The bigger name being put up above on PCS. That is hardly a shock. Remember Lambiel was even worse then that in the World short program but was given the 2nd highest PCS to keep him in the final flight anyway. It is old judging patterns carrying from old system to new.
