Men's FS

I am a big Lambiel fan but Plushenko with even a decent skate would crush a clean Lambiel. In fact Lambiel will have to skate clean to ensure the silver probably, the judges dont like him much and give him far too low scores for spins and PCS.

Jeff:

Did a nice triple toe, in lieu of quad
Did a nice triple axel[finally]but then hand down on the triple toe
Nice triple lutz double toe
Another triple axel, scratchy landing
Triple loop, a little forward on the landing
Double lutz [hey, I can do that  ]
Nice triple flip
Nice triple sal, double toe
Some spins were a bit slower than usual

For having blade problems, this seems ok to me

I don't think lambiel stand a chance against a clean Plush. Has Lambiel skated a CLEAN performance in comps?

I was agreeing with that wasnt I? I said even a clean Lambiel would be crushed by a semi-clean Plushenko.

The 2005 World Champion is also the 2005 Grand Prix Gold Medalist Lambiel now has had a taste for gold. We must look carefully at the Euros to see how Joubert is holding up. I went out on a limb and predicted a European sweep for the men at the Olys. Will it happen?

Joe

I for once do hope for a European sweep at Olys in the men event, and if IF Joubert can do what he did in 2004, Lambiel keeps his good level and Plush skates clean, there is no reason as to why that won't happen. The three of them skating their best score over 220+

Hi, for sure I will post and share the pictures that I will get to have from Canadians. This should be great compettiion, I will even print some and have some authographed. So will keep you posted with what I've got.

Lambiel was robbed again on the PCS scores, and he was given two level 1 spins by the judges. The judges hate his skating,

The judges do not determine the level of the spins -- the technical panel does.

Yes, but the judges score the level and he must have gotten good scores in order to win. I don't think the judges 'dislike' him. But maybe the Tech Panel has it in for him. I'll check out who they are. Even if it is deliberate, why would they pick on his spins for which he created the big change 4 years ago (or Ruhe did). It would make more sense to pick on his jumps and say the were underrotated. They can do that.

Joe
