thanks for the pbp - i'm so bummed to not be watching this. Is that woman Kwon (?) commentating again???

thanks for the updates on Melissa - my thoughts are with her and Denis

Wow, Abbott's still 2nd in the LP, too bad about that short. I've read no reports on his free skate, anyone? Looks like it had 2 falls?

thanks for the nice pbp! good job by Abbott and KVDP!

can't wait to see the performances from Jeff and Brian!

Thank you, emma.

I did not know until I read your post. Then I went to the Ice Dancing thread to read about what happened. Thank you very much; had it not been for your post, I would not have been alerted about Melissa and Denis's accident.

Jeremy has a higher degree of difficulty than the men that are behind him in the FS considering he does attempt the quad. I'm guessing he fell on that and on one of his 3Axel attempts maybe?

Jeff Buttle CAN

Jeff skated to ararat. He started with such a strong triple axel/triple toe combination, then he started to disintegrated when he singled a planned triple jump.

1 jump he singled,
1 jump he doubled.
planned second triple axel doubled.
last triple lutz he fell badly on landing.

Wow, sounds like Buttle is lucky to be in second. Not at all the performance I was hoping to see from him. He really cannot afford to start backing off his technical content and singling and doubling jumps, and I really wanted to see him go for the quad, even if he fell.

Jeff had such a horrible performance, and I can't believe he still scored 130+. I am furious, he's been held up by judges big time.

Geez...

Like I said before Jeff is slipping out of the group of elite contenders. Lambiel, Takahashi, Joubert, Verner, Lysacek, are pulling further away from him. Losing to Van Der Perren is another sign of that.
